The Lost Ring

Once a young man lost his ring. He went to search for it under the bright street light. Others who saw him desperately searching for a missing ring, came to help him.

When no one was successful in finding the ring, people asked him if he was sure that he dropped the ring in this place. He said, "No, I lost it there," and pointed to his house.

Furious, the people asked: "Then why are you looking for it here?"

The young man, trying to look clever said, "Because it is dark where I lost it, and this place is bright with light!"

Everyone thought he was a fool and told him to go and search for the ring where he actually lost it.

What we can learn from this story is that while our success lies in preparing for the hereafter, we are too busy looking for it in this world. If we spend all our lives only looking for success in this world, we will soon leave empty handed and take nothing with us.

Some of the people of Madinah once said,
"If it was not for the calamities of this life, we would be bankrupt of rewards on Yawmul Qiyamah.

Experiencing yusr (ease) after 'usr (difficulty) is one of the best feelings ever. Indeed the promise of your Lord is true.

The lovers of Allaah never run out of patience, for they know that time is needed for the crescent moon to become full.

Yaqūb (عليه السلام) lost a son for a long period, yet did not lose hope of relief from Allaah, rather he said, “Maybe Allaah will return them all to me”

وَعِندَهُ ۥ مَفَاتِحُ ٱلۡغَيۡبِ لَا يَعۡلَمُهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ‌ۚ
And with Him are the keys of Al-Ghayb (the unseen), none knows them but He.

:

كَانَ الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مُزَاحِمٍ إِذَا أَمْسَى بَكَى، فَيُقَالُ لَهُ: مَا يُبْكِيكَ؟ فَيَقُولُ: لا أَدْرِي مَا صَعَدَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ عَمَلِي
Dahhak ibn Muzahim (رحمه اللّٰه) would weep when evening approached, he would say: I know not which of today's deeds went up (are accepted by Allah).

How many persons start a day, but do not finish it?
How many hope for tomorrow but do not live to reach it?

Its pretty sure 99% of the people who left this world in 2016 didn't expect it.
That's why preparing for life after death is important!

We are worried about entertainers who died in 2016, but the real question, is will you be prepared when Allaah decides to call you back?

Don’t fear death, fear the state in which you will die. — How a person lives is how they die how they die is how they are resurrected

Hasan (رحمه اللّٰه) said: Don't be deceived by the many people around you. You will die, be resurrected and account alone.

Weep before you are wept for, do acts of obedience before you are carried on people's necks, take account before you are held to account.

Death is meeting Allaah
If u like to meet Allaah, He wants to meet u If u don't want to meet Him He doesn't either

Someone's abandonment of Islam does not decrease Allaah in anything. It shouldn't have any impact on our imaan and our pursuit of Allaah.

The world is not a place of heartly affiliations
This is a place of 👉 heed, it is not entertainment.

For Allaah's sake, start taking your life seriously. List all your spiritual weaknesses and remedy them one by one.

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ
Verily, your Lord is Ever Watchful
(Quran: Surah Al Fajr)


Some people can be comfortable with getting away with murder and corruption on earth but that privilege won't be available in the afterlife!

How To Change?

Short Answer: 👇
Through keeping to the Sunnah of the Prophet (Sal Allaahu alayh wa sallam)

Note:We are blind (at least in spiritual matters - and this is the essential) and fast asleep. And there is a grievous event approaching.

قُلْ إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ الَّذِي تَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ مُلَاقِيكُمْ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Say: (As for) the death from which you flee, that will surely overtake you, then you shall be sent back to the Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will inform you of that which you did." (Sura 62-8)

Why did the Prophet - have to say: “All people are asleep; and they wake up only when they die!” if this wasn't the case? In sleep the person has no (or very few) ways to control himself, he does need spiritual guidance leading him on the path to Allaah Aza wa Jal.

What To Look For?
So for changing 👉🏿 ’what is within ourselves’

To know the (tricks of the) soul is a duty ( fard `ayn ):

Therefore as An-Nawawi (rahimahulla ), explained in al-Majmu'a

“as for the knowledge of the heart, it is knowing the diseases of the heart, such as envy, conceit and the like.”

Tafsir Ibn Káthir

Explanation of Sura 13:11

Ibn Abi Hatim narrated that Ibrahim said: ”Allaah revealed to a Prophet from among the Children of Israel, ’Say to your nation: every people of the village or a house who used to obey Allaah but changed their behaviour to disobeying Him, then he would take away from them what they like and exchange it for what they dislike.’” Ibrahim next said that this statement has proof in Allaah’s Book:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ مِن وَالٍ
"Verily, Allaah does not change the condition of people until they change what is within themselves." Sura ar-Ra`d 13:11

"We love the beauty of the creation,
Imagine the creator of it loving you."

تدعو القلوب بما تشتهي , فيُجيب الله بما هو خيرٌ لها
The hearts pray for what they desire, but Allaah responds with what is better for them

Astaghfirullaha min qawlin bila `amalin
We ask Allaah's forgiveness for talk without deeds

اَللّهُمَّ طَهِّرْ قَلْبِنَا مِنَ النِّفَاقِ
Allahumma Tahhir Qalbi Minan Nifaq
O Allah! Purify my heart from hypocrisy

تدعو القلوب بما تشتهي , فيُجيب الله بما هو خيرٌ لها
The hearts pray for what they desire, but Allaah responds with what is better for them

Astaghfirullaha min qawlin bila `amalin
We ask Allaah's forgiveness for talk without deeds
