In life we meet many folks, some leave their mark and others just simply pass us by.

October 2020 I received a phone call from what would be just another client making inquiries. Little did I know that, I'd later make a friend, a sister, a brother, legal adviser and spiritual advisor in you Mbabazi Mary Hilary and your Husband Samson Kyomukama

Truth be told I've done countless weddings my entire career, but I can only count very few folks who remained true friends beyond work.

We as service providers, especially decorators, get mistreated a lot by wedding customers. And to them it's just ok, after all they are paying for the service. From being chased off the food, to being sent out of the venue because we r dressed to not the party's liking.

Well for you both that was never the case. I remember before you guys even committed to the contract, I'd read scripture on your status, and at the time I really needed spiritual support more than financial support or anything. I'd stay up late just to read your lines.

Then one day I asked you about Photography and you said you had someone in mind. I said here(my ig handle), just have a look at my work. I know lots of it, if not most is explicit to our UG community. And for once, I found a client who didn't judge me for being me. For being a bo***ir photographer. I remember you saying, "Your work is awesome Koller, but lots of folks around here wont understand the art in it."....that motivated me more than you'll ever know. Many customers for decor had refused to work with me because of my Photography. But you simply encouraged me. Here is a few I took of you to look back on.

Then I met Sam a few weeks later and boy was I treated to an awesome welcome. I remember Sam was shocked at seeing a mzungu speaking fluent Luganda. We made fun about it, and he treated me to a really warm discussion in his office.

Marriages do have math problems too

They say love conquers all…but apparently not test scores.
Reports claim that the ‘jilting of the century’ recently occurred in India, after one bride suspected her soon-to-be-husband’s math skills were not up to standard.
Everything was set for a fairy-tale wedding on Saturday evening.
The dapper dressed groom arrived with his family, as the bride got ready to exchange the garlands.
But at the eleventh hour, she presented him with every man’s nightmare – a math test.
The bride was reportedly suspicious of the groom’s educational credentials, and forced him to write out the multiplication table of two.
He failed.
According to the bride’s cousin, the family was appalled. They accused the groom of deceit, and the nuptials were called off immediately.
The bride was from the region of Uttar Pradesh – which has seen a wave of mathematics-based jiltings in recent times.
Another bride found out her husband couldn’t count bank notes, and subsequently left him at the altar.
And people say SAT scores don’t matter.
