In celebration of the Child Abuse Prevention Month, our Child Protection and Safeguarding Lead, Mrs. Kagoda Lillian, spearheaded a series of engagements focused on building a safer environment for children throughout the month of Apri;
Empowering Staff: Through a dedicated session with teachers and project staff, she reinforced that safeguarding is a collective responsibility. Protecting a child’s rights is not just a policy, it is our daily promise.
Empowering Children: During school assemblies at Kabubbu Community and Trust High School, our learners learned about their fundamental rights and were encouraged to find their voices. They were reminded that speaking up and reporting abuse is both important and courageous.
As we conclude Child Abuse Prevention Month, we are reminded that protecting children is not just a responsibility, it is something we should all take part in.
In Uganda, millions of children face violence, neglect, and abuse. Behind every number is a child who deserves safety, love, and the chance to thrive.
At Kabubbu Development Project, safeguarding is not limited to a single month; it is a continuous commitment to ensuring every child grows up in a safe, nurturing environment.
