President like Ours.... 🇹🇿 🇹🇿
“So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.”
1990's
*THE WOUND OF A FATHER:*

*A true father goes through many unspeakable experiences to continue to be a father.*
*When he goes out daily in search of bread for his household, he sustains many mental injuries he does not discuss with his family.*
*His wife and children may not be able to stand the pains he goes through if he shares it with them.*
*The insults from his boss, the embarrassment from his customers, the harassment from his superiors, etc. Yet he can't quit.*

*Most times, when he gets home, he is welcomed with nags and unending requests. He gets blames for not being able to meet up, or for not being able to be like his fellow men.*

*Hmmmm! He is rarely appreciated for his struggles and push just to keep the family together.*

*Some men had secretly dipped their hands in so many things they can't discuss with their families. Some have stolen, embezzled and borrowed so much that they live in inexpressible guilts everyday.*

*A real father can take anything just to keep food on the table for his household.*
*An adage says ''goat sweats but his hair does not let people see his sweat''. Many men are sweating but no one is seeing their sweat because they have a car, a house, a job, etc.*

*When it comes to celebrating him, it is done casually.*
*He may not have breasts to breastfeed, yet everyone sucks from his unseen breasts.*
*He may not carry pregnancy for nine months, but he's always pregnant with family needs.*
*He may not know how labour pain feels, but his pains are not physical.*
*Tears may not be in his eyes but he bleeds from inside when he has no means to put food on the table for his household.*

*His shout, hostility and moods are not premeditated, they are fallout of what he goes through. So please understand him.*

*Send to encourage all fathers.*

Does Museveni need a ‘side chic’?

With schools in the country still closed due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Ashaba Annah, a fresh graduate from Makerere University has penned down a wistful poem highlighting why she wants to be the Head of State’s side chic. And the question is “does Museveni need a side chic?”

In the poem titled “I want to be Museveni’s side chic, the 23 year old who pursued a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Education in English Language Studies and Literature in English explains what she would do if she was the President’s side chic.

“I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that during those cozy moments, I tell him that the thought of schools still closed turns me off. I want to let him touch me slow and then when he’s charged for action, I tell him that the education crisis dried my feelings. I can’t even fake anything. I want to promise to do him all he wants as long as schools are reopened.” Writes Ashaba.

I want to let him touch touch me slow and then when he’s charged for action, I tell him that the education crisis dried my feelings. I can’t even fake anything. I want to promise to do him all he wants as long as schools are reopened.”

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when he asks me what car I need, I ask for an ambulance instead and give it away to one of the hospitals. I want to start using the money he gives me as a sugar daddy to do give back activities to the community. I know how to make reusable pads, I could get enough capital to make this social enterprise grow and benefit many a girl child out there.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when we go for a weekend get away to graze cows, I sweet talk him into having all the political prisoners released. I want to remind him that those young men who were unjustly arrested have families to whom they are so dear just like the way his cows are dear to him.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when he buys me an unlimited data bundle, I thank him and then request him to have the 12% tax on data removed. The world is advancing in science and technology, we need to advance with it zdaddy.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic . I want to kiss his ears, gently squeeze his ni***es and whisper to him that that boy on Twitter keeps embarrassing the family every time he gets into keyboard exchanges. Zdaddy, may be you should reconsider opening bars too.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when after reading a poem for him, I tell him that censorship, arrest, torture and imprisonment of writers is inhumane, cowardly an act and violation of rights. Ekaraamu tejunda muzeyi. You may imprison the people but you can’t imprison the spirit of writing. I want to tell him to take the writings as a challenge to make improvements for the betterment of the nation.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that I shower him with praises as the sexiest zaddy when he agrees to have a peaceful transition of power. We need to go somewhere in the mountains and spend quality time as someone else able takes over the presidency. There are many men and women with a vision, you ain’t the only one with a vision sweetie. Give the bazukulu a chance to build the nation. Let us go plant trees, restore Bugoma forest and save those wetlands and other endangered natural resources.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that I tell him what I can’t put here in writing. I am unarmed, harmless, sexy, energetic, charismatic, patriotic and ready to read for him in retirement. Whoever can reach him, give him this proposal of a side chic in waiting.

I want to be Museveni’s side chic so that when he asks me what car I need, I ask for an ambulance instead and give it away to one of the hospitals. JUST STOP!
You’re running late for a meeting that you’re supposed to be chairing and the police waves you down. You are terribly irritated and time-barred. Just stop!

Your wife is in the back seat of your car, her water has “broken”. You were going at 80 km/hr on a road whose speed limit is 50 km/hr. The police waves you down. Just stop!

You’re running late to pick up your child from school and you’re just seeing how your ka-50k is going to go just like that in paying another fine. The police waves you down. Just stop!

You have been in traffic for hooouurs. You are dying to get home to use the toilet. The police waves you down. Just stop!

You….The police waves you down. Just stop! It doesn’t matter what scenario you play out in your mind whether it is an emergency; with your wife or with your work or with your bowels, if the police be it traffic police or any other police for that matter stops you, you must stop.

Why? Because the police has the mandate to do so to ensure that law and order is being upheld as provided under section 142 of the Traffic and Road Safety Act. If you speed off without explanation instead of stopping and properly explaining that you are rushing your expectant wife to the hospital, the police will mark your number plate and there’s little evidence to corroborate your story when the damage has been done. This may lead to cancellation of your driver's license and may also lead to you paying a fine for not being complaint to police traffic control instructions. Follow the law, just stop!

VERY TOUCHING

One day a mentally troubled child came home and gave a letter to his mother.

He told her,

“My teacher gave this letter to me and told me to only give it to my mother.”

Reading through the letter, the mother could not believe her eyes.
Gradually her eyes filled with tears.

"Mum is there a problem?

Did I do something wrong in school" the boy asked.

With a shaky voice, the mother slowly began to read the contents of the letter to her son.

“Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers to train him. Please teach him yourself.”

The boy was dumbfounded.

The next morning, Nancy Edison pulled her son out of the school and from that day, began to teach him diligently at home.

Many years later, Thomas Edison had grown into the most prolific inventor of his time.

He had invented the electric light bulb, the first electric generator, the first record player (called the phonograph then), submarine radar, a cinema, and about one thousand other inventions that helped to usher in the modern age.

He was celebrated worldwide as the father of inventions.

Meanwhile, his mother had passed away quietly.

One day he was going through her closet and found the letter which was given to him by his teacher for his mother.

He remembered it was the same letter that made his mother pull him out of school and undertake many years of homeschooling.

So he opened it.
The message written in the letter was,

“Your son is mentally ill. We can not let him attend our school anymore. He is expelled.”

Thomas Edison then realized what his mother did, which probably saved his life and future.

For several hours he sat motionless with tears streaming down his face.

Finally, he gathered enough strength and wrote in his diary,

“Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child whose mother turned him into the genius of the century.”

LESSON - A single word can make or destroy a child's future.

As parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandma and grandpa etc.) and teachers, we all have a role to play in building and activating the glorious destiny of children...

Tell them positive things.
