We at FHRI are deeply saddened by the demise of Angella Namirembe, a Law student of UCU in a ghastly boda boda road accident thar occurred yesterday on her way to UCU Kampala Campus to write her final Law exams. Angella undertook her internship with FHRI early this year, and she left as a life member. She was an extraordinary student, brilliant, and resourceful with a strong sense of purpose. Death has robbed us of Angella- passionate about justice and equity. She had a very bright future ahead of her. Our condolences go to her parents, relatives, classmates, and friends. MHSRIP.

Fare thee well Angella. May your soul rest in eternal peace.

Death has robbed us of a very ambitious, vibrant and resourceful young human rights activist. Angela Namirembe joined FHRI as an intern from Uganda Christian University - Law School and left as a Life Member of FHRI on 11th August 2025. She has lived a short but very impactful life. May your soul rest in eternal peace Angela.
