We are proud to be represented by a team of young people at the 9th Reproductive Health Network Kenya (RHNK) Pan African Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Conference 2026.

As champions of meaningful youth participation, our young delegates are sharing experiences, learning from peers across Africa, and amplifying the voices of young people in conversations that shape the future of sexual and reproductive health and rights.

We are advancing youth-led solutions, building partnerships, and ensuring that no young person is left behind.

Today, we remember the courage, faith, and sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs. May their legacy continue to inspire us to stand firm in our values and serve others with compassion.

Menstruation is natural. Shame, stigma, and silence should never be part of the experience.

This Menstrual Health Month, let us create a world where every girl and woman can manage their period with dignity, confidence, and access to accurate information and menstrual health products.

No one should miss school, work, or opportunities simply because of their period.

At RHU, we believe menstrual health is not just about periods, it is about health, dignity, education, equality, and empowerment.

Let us talk openly. Let us end period stigma. Let us support safe and informed menstrual health choices.

Your period is not something to hide. It is a sign of strength, health, and life.

We believe that menstrual health is a fundamental part of sexual and reproductive health and rights. No girl or woman should face stigma, shame, misinformation, or barriers simply because of menstruation.

This Menstrual Health Month, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring access to accurate information, quality menstrual health services, and safe spaces where young people and communities can openly discuss menstrual health with dignity and confidence.

Yesterday, the world celebrated International Day of the Midwife and at RHU we continue celebrating the incredible midwives who stand at the centre of safe motherhood, reproductive health, and lifesaving care every single day.

This week, we honour the dedication, compassion, and resilience of midwives who walk with women, girls, and families through some of life’s most important moments from pregnancy and childbirth to sexual and reproductive health services, counseling, and care.

Midwives are more than healthcare providers. They are comfort in moments of fear, strength in moments of uncertainty, and advocates for healthier communities.

To all midwives across Uganda and beyond, thank you for the lives you touch, the hope you give, and the care you provide every day.

Yesterday, we marked World Press Freedom Day.

Today, we celebrate and appreciate the media.
For informing.
For amplifying.
For breaking the silence around sexual and reproductive health.

Across communities, media continues to accelerate access to SRHR information, challenging stigma, answering critical questions, and connecting people to care.

This week, we recognise and thank every journalist, storyteller, and platform using their voice to inform, empower, and protect.

Because access to information is access to health, dignity, and choice.

A seat at the table where climate decisions are made. That is where inclusive change begins.

In March 2026, RHU stepped into a powerful national platform, signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Parliamentary Forum on Climate Change to strengthen climate responsive policies, legislative action, and oversight on mitigation and adaptation efforts across the country.

Because climate change is not gender neutral. And the response must reflect that.

Read our Q1 SRHR Spotlight Newsletter to explore what this means for inclusive climate action and SRHR.
