The convention provided a platform to dialogue on emerging healthcare trends and the challenges affecting Uganda's healthcare system, while also examining strategies aimed at addressing these challenges.
Through a series of interactive sessions and panel discussions, participants had the opportunity to exchange insights, share experiences, discuss best practices, and cultivate new partnerships to facilitate positive change within the sector.
As a key player in the health sector, PEERU's thoughts, perspective, and experience in Uganda's health sector shared broadly during the invaluable convention dialogue.
On World Health Day, let's unite to advocate for universal healthcare access and strive for a fairer, healthier world for all.

Globally, more than one-third of people newly diagnosed with HIV present to care with advanced HIV disease (AHD), and about one in 10 people die within the first three months in care. Innovative and differentiated strategies are needed to quickly reach and identify children, adolescents, and adults with AHD and retain them in care and treatment services.
Grassroot communities need to be engaged and senstised on the benefits of early enrollment into HIV care and treatment inorder to prevent manifestation ADH.
