Fellow youth (especially men), can we commit this year to engage in unpaid care and domestic work? This will not only relieve our spouses, mothers, sisters and friends of this burden, but will also promote their empowerment.
Unpaid care and domestic work also affects women’s political participation and leadership as it TAXES their energy, UNDERMINES their workplace authority, and reduces the time they would be spending on more POLITICALLY, SOCIALLY and ECONOMICALLY recognized work. How can men, governments, and workplaces help address this issue?
