Grand Theft Auto V is played from a third-person perspective in an open world environment, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The game is set within the fictional state of San Andreas (based on Southern California) and affords the player the ability to freely roam the world's countryside and the fictional city of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles). Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. It was released in April 2013 in North America, Europe, and Australia, and June 2013 in Japan.
Gods Among Us involves one-on-one matches within a two-dimensional plane, although characters and backgrounds are rendered in a three-dimensional fashion. The game uses a four-button control layout of light, medium, and heavy attacks, alongside a "character trait" button that activates a unique ability or attack designed to showcase each character.
2. MAX PAYNE 2 & 3 (PLAYSTATION 2 & 3)
In Max Payne 2, the player controls Max Payne, a former DEA agent for the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and a fugitive framed for murder of his best friend and fellow cop Alex, by the corrupted agent, B.B., in New York City during the events of Max Payne. Two years after the events of the first game, Max has cleared his name and is now an NYPD detective. He reunites with Mona Sax, whom he met in the previous game, as they set out to resolve a conspiracy of death and betrayal, finding the Inner Circle in the center of it all. Video game critics gave Max Payne 2 highly acclaimed reviews. Praise focused on its action and story.
Max Payne 3 retains the shoot-dodge mechanic from the previous games in the series. Players are able to stay grounded after a dive, which enables them to shoot 360 degrees around. Rockstar has blended physics and animation, so that when a player dives, they do so appropriately according to their surroundings. Through advanced use of the Euphoria dynamic animation engine, shooting and killing enemies in Max Payne 3 will look noticeably more realistic than in any preceding Rockstar game.
Fourteen years after Max Payne lost his family and nine years after the previous game, Max has retired from the NYPD, now drowning his sorrows in alcohol and painkillers. When Max gets into a confrontation at a bar with the son of a local mob boss, Anthony DeMarco, Raul Passos intervenes. Passos, a former cop himself, wants to recruit his old friend Max as a private security contractor for a job in South America. Max initially refuses his offer, but when he becomes a target for mob hitmen after killing Tony DeMarco in a bar fight, he agrees to accompany Passos.
3. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN
The Amazing Spider-Man is a third-person open world action/adventure video game, a tie-in to the film of the same name featuring the Marvel Comics superhero, Spider-Man. It was developed by Beenox, developer of Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time, and published by Activision.
Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy sneak into the restricted areas of Oscorp after hours, where Gwen reveals her suspicions that they may be continuing Curt Connors' cross-species experiments. In the process, they are caught by Alistair Smythe, the new director, who explains that some scientists were indeed secretly continuing Connors' cross-species experiments by injecting animals with human DNA; the cross-species carry a powerful virus and are currently being shipped to a bio-lab for disposal. At that moment, the cross-species all react to Peter's presence and escape, infecting all of the scientists, including Smythe and Gwen, in the process. Alistair unleashes his security robots, which are programmed to defend them from cross-species. However, they end up attacking Peter, as he technically is a cross-species too. Peter quickly dons his Spider-Man suit and gets the infected to quarantine, fighting off the robots in the process, but is unable to stop the cross-species from escaping into the city.
4. RESISTANCE 3
Resistance 3 is the first in the series to support 3D and PlayStation Move and the first to introduce the PSN Pass program. The game shifts away from the military aspect of its predecessors and takes on a post-apocalyptic feel.
The story starts four years after Operation: Black Eden, where the United States is the last nation standing against the Chimera, but leaving most of the states into barren wastelands along with the rest of the world. Joseph Capelli has been dishonorably discharged from SRPA for executing Nathan Hale, while Malikov has discovered a cure for the Chimera virus from Hale's blood as the Chimera begin to exterminate the human race. In an underground outpost in Haven, Oklahoma, Capelli, his wife Susan Farley, son Jack and other survivors have been living in hiding from the Chimera patrols for over 2 years. Their hope to stay hidden from the Chimera is quickly crushed as Capelli notices a Terraformer (a massive, satellite-like weapon that destroys everything on the ground by firing an energy wave from the sky) moving towards Haven.
5. METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is an action video game developed by Platinum Games and produced by Kojima Productions, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It is the ninth canonical entry in the Metal Gear series, set four years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, where players control Raiden (now a cyborg) as he confronts the private military company Desperado Enforcement.
The game focuses on fighting enemies using a sword and multiple subweapons to perform combos and counterattacks. Through the use of Blade Mode, Raiden can dismember cyborgs in slow motion and steal parts stored in their bodies. The series' stealth elements are also optional to reduce combat. The game was originally announced in 2009 under the title of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, and was intended to act as an interquel between the events of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This form of the game was to be produced solely by Kojima Productions. However, the team met with difficulties in developing a game based on swordplay, so executive producer Hideo Kojima canceled it. A solution was found, in late 2011, with Platinum Games taking over development. Under the guidance of the new team, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was revealed, with a significant change in gameplay and storyline.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance was well received by critics with the staff noting a growing popularity despite initial mixed reactions to Platinum Games' involvement. The game was praised for its sophisticated cutting system, its use of Metal Gear elements to complement the story despite the game's focus on action and its intense boss fights.

The game features co-operative multiplayer with online, splitscreen, and LAN options. E'lara is able to use a bow and small weapons, while Caddoc wields larger melee weapons, as well as a crossbow. Players have the option to explore large areas. Players are able to use spells to help in combat.

Each approach is designed to influence the game's story in various ways. Human Revolution is the third entry in the futuristic Deus Ex series, which was notable for blending role-playing elements with first-person action. Human Revolution continues many elements from its predecessors, such as the ability for players to acquire new, permanent augmentations and weapon upgrades to enhance their character's abilities. There are multiple ways to approach each scenario as well as multiple ways to develop your character. Jensen can use a variety of close-quarters takedown moves, more than 20 weapons, and other offensive techniques against targets that range from robots and thugs to augmented spec-ops soldiers and boss characters.

PS4: SONY UNDERCUTS XBOX ONE AND BANKS ON GAMER-FRIENDLY OPTIONS
New PlayStation significantly cheaper than XBox and won't block use of secondhand games
Sony has unveiled the PlayStation 4 and given it technical features and a price – US$399 – to undercut Microsoft's rival Xbox One.
The company gave gamers a much-anticipated first look at the new console on Monday night at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3, the world's largest video game exhibition in Los Angeles.
The PS4's black box design appeared similar to the Xbox One but was priced $100 cheaper and will let consumers use secondhand software, affording a wide choice of games.
The console, which will be available by the end of the year, does not need internet connection to be played or authenticated, a requirement of the Xbox One that has drawn criticism.
"Sony just won a lot of fans," said TechCrunch, signalling possible concern at Microsoft that the Xbox One, which will launch in 21 markets this autumn for $499 in the US (€499 in Europe and £429 in the UK) could lose out when its rival hits stores soon after.
"The gaming landscape is changing with new business models and new ways to play," Andrew House, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, told the trade show on the eve of its official launch on Tuesday.
The four-day event is expected to attract 40,000 people, showcase new titles and technology and establish trends in the US$65bn per year gaming industry.
Sony announced the new PlayStation in February but waited until Monday to unveil the actual machine, which turned out to be a rectangular black box.
Jack Tretton, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment America, earned applause when he said the device would not restrict used game sales – a potential requirement of the Xbox One that has dismayed geeks.
Tretton also said the PlayStation's disc-based games would not need a regular online connection to be played or authenticated – in contrast to the Xbox which needs to be online once a day.
"If you enjoy playing single-player games offline, PS4 won't require to you check in online period and it won't stop working if you haven't authenticated in 24 hours."
Sony gave snippets of coming games including the steampunk thriller The Order: 1866, the superhero adventure InFamous: Second Son, the racing simulator Drive Club and the sci-fi Killzone: Shadow Fall. The company said it had more than 140 PS4 games in the works.
Microsoft is gambling that users will embrace cloud computing as the next level in gaming. Its new console, which succeeds Xbox 360, has a Kinect motion sensor for hands-free game playing and can simultaneously let users control their TV and chat via Skype. The company announced an Xbox One edition of Minecraft and a new Halo game due in 2014.
The video games publisher Electronic Arts hired the rapper Drake to present the next edition of its football simulator FIFA 14. The actor Aaron Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, introduced the game Need for Speed: Rivals, which will have a film version out next year.
Patrick Bach, a producer with Electronic Arts, drew gasps when he opened a screen to show 64 players engaged in a multiplayer match of the upcoming Battlefield 4.
