The leaders shared how parents are neglecting their duties as far as giving guidance (providing sanitary towels) and protection of adolescents in their communities. They further emphasized how raising adolescents is a collective community role where one every citizen should take part in shaping .

With the rise in HIV infections among communities in Tororo, Councilor Jessica Ndambiro emphasized the need for parents to play a role in ending stigma among youths and encourage them to stay safe. This comes with the trend that young people do not want to test for HIV and prefer remaining in the dark.
Today Women leaders of Tororo district converge for a conversation on SRHR dissecting issues on teenage pregnancy, child marriages and HIV AIDs among the different parishes in the district.

During the Refugee Women leaders training at Kiryandongo refugee camp, it has come to our attention that there is need for Urgent intervention to address GBV, SRHR and ending forced marriages at the camps. We must do something to ensure that GBV becomes a thing of the past in refugee camps.
