This is my maternal ancestral village (Mityana, Katiko landing site) on the shores of lake Wamala. The most common means of transportation and livelihood are these dug out canoes. They can be used for Local nguli brewing and fishing too.Locals traverse the narrow papyrus paths in the lake to fish and hunt for elusive antelopes in these swamps, what an interesting place off mityana-Mubende road off Nama trading centre
