Readings: Wisdom 6:12-16; 1Thessalonians 4:13-18; Mathew 25:1-13.
Focus: KEEPING YOUR FAITH IN GOD ALIVE.

We are used to thinking that we have plenty of time to get our act together and putting off doing essential things till when we are surprised by unexpected. I invite you to pay attention to today’s message and readings.
Staying awake and ever ready is sounded in today’s parable of the wise and foolish virgins waiting for a bridegroom. The gospel reading according to Mathew 25: 1-13 " The ten virgins.....five wise and five foolish.....Amen, I say to you, I do not know you. Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour". We have to keep our faith alive in God even we feel overwhelmed by some unbearable suffering, pain and unbelievable situation in our life.
Waiting in darkness for an event to occur without knowing exactly when it will come to pass can be very scary and uneasy esspecially when taken up by surprise. I invite you to think of your own experience of snow storm that comes and led to lack of power or electricity in the house, even when you have flash lights you realized there are no batteries in the flash lights, what anoying it would be?
To do this am reminded of a popular bracelet that all had the letters WWJD on them. That simply was a constant reminder to ask our selves WHAT WOULD JESUS DO(WWJD) before making any decision in life. If we ask ourselves this question, we would not have fear that we wouldnt be ready. Therefore by treating each other as Jesus would have us do at each moment will certainly make us keep faith alive in Jesus and never back up in life amidst ups and downs of our lives.
In a time of a great trials it’s important to be prepared. Of course this story in the parable today is meant to remind us about the end of time in Jesus’s ev

Oh Lord, You alone knows what is best for me. Please guide my every step and decision I make and may only Your plans for me come to pass. Amen

Gospel of the Day (John 2,13-22)
Since the Passover of the Jews was near, Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
He found in the temple area those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, as well as the money-changers seated there.
He made a whip out of cords and drove them all out of the temple area, with the sheep and oxen, and spilled the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables,
and to those who sold doves he said, "Take these out of here, and stop making my Father's house a marketplace."
His disciples recalled the words of scripture, "Zeal for your house will consume me."
At this the Jews answered and said to him, "What sign can you show us for doing this?"
Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."
The Jews said, "This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?"
But he was speaking about the temple of his body.
Therefore, when he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they came to believe the scripture and the word Jesus had spoken.
