MARPI with support from UNDP and the Ministry of Health Uganda, has distributed 935 reflector jackets to boda boda riders to boost awareness and prevention. These jackets not only increase visibility while on the road but also contribute to vital Mpox risk communication efforts. Together, we are strengthening our collective response to Mpox and building a healthier, more informed Uganda. Awareness # Community Health safety of Health # MARPI # Uganda.

Spreading awareness and empowering communities to combat Mpox in Kampala Metropolitan Area and Uganda at large! MARPI staff hits the ground in the heart of the community, educating locals at a boda boda stage about Mpox transmission and prevention. With support from UNDP and MoH, the effort aims to increase public awareness an improve health security for vulnerable populations against Mpox. Together, we are building a strong response to Mpox! Awareness Engagement security of Health # MARPI.

Dr. Annet Alenyo, who leads the Case Management Pillar for Mpox at WHO Uganda, gave an insightful presentation to MARPI staff during a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) at the WHO Office in Kololo. Her session addressed key topics, including an introduction to Mpox, its transmission modes, and effective strategies for case management, infection prevention and control. This valuable knowledge-sharing initiative backed by WHO, USAID, and the Ministry of Health Uganda, aims to enhance Uganda's response to the Mpox outbreak and provide optimal care for the most -at-risk communities. .
