Pr. Beatrice Byemanzi once said that words unspoken are words without power. The word of God is only as powerful as the word declared. You give it power and tangibility when you confess it.

The story in the Bible of the Shunamite woman (2 Kings 4:8-37) whose son was sick and eventually died, after the lady had put him on the bed, she rushed to look for the prophet and her words were ‘IT IS WELL'. Even when the circumstances necessitated that she screams and believes otherwise, she hang onto the word of the prophet, declared otherwise until it came to pass.

It doesn’t matter what you have known before or what the world has known concerning you. It doesn’t matter what is in your family, what disease you carry, the mistakes you have made, the Word of God concerning you is sure and true. Do not deviate from it. Speak it and it will pass.

NEGATIVE COMPARISON CAN DISTORT YOUR SELF-PERCEPTION
Lucifer behaved the way he did because he was comparing himself to God. In his eyes, they were equal. Judas Iscariot behaved the way he did because he was comparing himself to Jesus. In his eyes, they were buddies, ‘why did Jesus deserve the favors from people?’.

Negative comparison without remedy leads to destruction. When you start to wish for the place of others who God is clearly blessing, you have embarked on a journey to destruction. God has your unique blessing that is not in any way affected by the blessing of others. As long as you are His child (which of course you are), your blessing will always be yours. Because your cousin is blessed a certain way doesn’t take away your blessing. Because your friend is beautiful doesn’t make you ugly. Because your former classmate has been appointed in a splendid position doesn’t mean you will never make it in life. You can all be at the top and shine.

The blessing of God covers us all. The timing and forms of the blessing maybe different but that doesn’t mean you are not blessed. Rejoice with those who rejoice and learn from those God has placed before you. Stick to the principals and watch your own blessings unfold.

Hold onto that promise!

At the beginning of this year, Apostle Mosze was teaching in School of Practical Business and he gave this verse; Genesis 12:2, "I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing."

It's my anchor scripture for this year. You see, all things that are seen are formed by the things unseen. You have to believe right to see the right results. Your mind has to see it before it happens. Majority of the results you have were or have been formed by your belief system

All humans struggle with self perception but it is those that have learnt to shape it even through doubts that have made progress in life. What have you believed about yourself? What is shaping your dreams? What do you see when you see yourself? What informs what you see and believe? What does God say about you?

Self Perception is a subject close to my heart and I can't wait to unpack more about it in the coming days and weeks.

On Tuesday this week, I went to pick my driver’s license. I had dreaded the entire idea for many reasons but I was wrong. I was treated to pleasant surprises. The team at Uganda Driver Licensing System is here to prove that government offices can offer quick, efficient and excellent services too.

TIME MANAGEMENT: There is no time wasted in the process as many of the processes have been automated. Within about 30 minutes, I had my licence

THE TEAM: The offices are well staffed and ready for the large numbers of customers that come in to receive their permits. They are smart too. My attention was on the good quality, well branded shirts they were wearing

CLEAN OFFICES: The offices are clean and well maintained.

DIGITALIZATION: Talk about using the current digitalization to serve clients. The digitalized processes at Uganda Driver Licensing System make the service smooth, efficient and excellent. The processes have been well defined to cater for a smooth flow of service
