So, recently in a strategy meeting at , it came up that I no longer post about Hostalite in my social media posts, Mbu Iam so obsessed with Cinnamon Clubs and dolphin Fund, hehe and my team wanted to know why?
Here was my response to them.

Hostalite has been here for more 12 years and my reason for not posting about is for it to be able to survive without my posts or even me.
Companies must outlive their founders and this can only be tested if the founders detach themselves from the company.
That’s what I have tried to achieve over the last 3 years.

It’s definitely not easy for founders but at the end of the day, someone must do it.
They seemed to be convinced but one said, We really miss your long posts about Hostalite boss.
I promised to make one post one these days about Hostalite and here it is.

Ladies and gentlemen, it was a pleasure yesterday as Hostalite handed over 10 fully developed and completed e-commerce websites for Handicraft and Souvenir enterprises selected across Uganda to the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife and Antiquities (MTWA) in presence of the 10 enterprises.

The ministry is implementing the Handicraft and Souvenir Development Project (HSDP) a three-year Tier II project funded by the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) and the project seeks to respond to the government’s efforts to diversify and increase exports of non-traditional exports while supporting increased job creation and employment.

Hostalite will go ahead and provide web Hosting, help the craft enterprises with integrations to receive payments via Mobile, Airtel Money and Visa to enable them carry on effective online marketing of their products to the targeted markets.

Iam sure some of you were wondering why I was looking for professional photographers from Iganga, Arua, Gulu, Lango, Pakwach, Fort portal, Rubirizi e.t.c. whose contacts I got from my Facebook and Whatsapp status 100% (Social media is cool)

The ministry is happy, the clients are happy, we are all happy.

The lock down really changed very many things including the way we operate.
Among the many questions tech companies are asking are?
1. Do we really need to spend 2 hours in the morning traffic Jam and 2 or 3hrs in the evening going to office and back home?
2. Must employees really go to office? E.T.C
3. Can we use that valuable time to sort client issues.
