When I visited Google in March this year, I learned something amazing about Google and the whole of , California. Before the visit, I used to think and imagine that Silicon valley was shinny, with tall and elegant buildings everywhere. I used to think their rides (cars) are probably more expensive than New York or Washington, for California is the richest state in the US. If California was a country, evidence shows, it would be among the 5 topmost economies in this world beating India and the UK down.
Surprisingly, buildings, cars, infrastructure, people, and everything else in Silicon Valley is ordinary. Even Google's complex is built with simplicity and wholesomeness. If you were to judge the wealth of California based on the cars people drive and the homes you see, you wouldn't know they are that rich!
This lesson hit me hard, until I grasped it all!
See what I discovered and learnt when I visited and toured Google premises in Silicon Valley, California, US: https://miklahlife.com/vicent-and-miklah-at-google/. And keep it always.

Lingle has authored books on free markets, economic growth, and capitalism. In his book, ‘Singapore’s Authoritarian Capitalism: Asian Values, Free Market Illusions, and Political Dependency’, he argues that, while Singapore is a strong economy, its future cannot be guaranteed given the country’s prioritization of political authority rather than economic freedoms.

The 2024 is going on right now at the United Nations Headquarters in New York! But what is it about?
Well, the United Nations Economic and Social Council is like the UN's supervisor of all UN agencies in terms of socioeconomic operations across the world. As such, ECOSOC concerns itself with socio-economic development, including the SDGs. ECOSOC youth forum is simply a formal gateway for youth into these high-level discussions concerning the most pressing socioeconomic issues in the world.
Started in 2012 and chaired by the ECOSOC president, the ECOSOC Youth Forum allows youth to feed into ECOSOC deliberations their voices, and innovations to achieve SDGs, or simply sound an alarm regarding leaders who aren't doing their part.
To join this forum, all you need to do is just join any youth group, for example, YOUNGO, UNEP Major Group for Children and Youth (MGCY), and others that share updates and guides regarding these events. These groups will guide you into applying and just being part of all the discussions.
The ongoing forum started yesterday on 16th April and will continue up to 18th April 2024. And is always happy to be part of such endeavors, both virtually and physically. This post is part of our efforts, lol!

From all of us here at , we wish you Happy Holidays and pray that you too find faith in Jesus at His timing. Easter means a lot to Christians, for it is the foundation of our hope. It is the only testimony that sin and death were defeated and shall be defeated. This may not be obvious to everyone, and we pray and hope that it does someday.
Thanks for supporting us and being part of all the way. God bless you. And keep it always at www.miklahlife.com. Thank you.

Yesterday, I explored the heart of Silicon Valley, and saw the center of miracles, of tools that make our everyday lives a miracle! Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Intel, Netflix, Cisco, Google, Tesla, name it, they are all here.
Enough time was taken at Google, for the 'Giant of the World' has a better visitors' experience. So we touched and smelt everything Google, including riding their bicycles, touching their latest Pixels, bags, everything!
This was so touching and inspiring for me and for , the small company I lead.
What touched me at Google was the simplicity, spaciousness, happy and welcoming faces, accessibility, even for those with disabilities, and endless flow of possibilities. It was humbling to see the source of the machine that literally runs the world.
Looking at, touching, feeling, and smelling things that make Google what it is, felt like normal. No fake excitements or unnecessary shinny spaces or tools, noise, and self-appraisals. Things and people were simple.
Speaking with workers at the company, perusing through the displayed products and services, including phones, laptops, T-shirts, foods, fruits, water, hats, and each of the above things looking entirely normal, usual, but unique, got me re-imagine and redefine beauty, sophistication, power, knowledge, greatness.
How can everyday things, everyday people, and environment create such a global change like Google has done?
In my view, it is the ingredients, the soul, the insides, the essence of those things, not their externalities. It isn't necessarily how a Pixel looks; it is what it does! It is not necessarily how Google buildings look, it is what is taking place inside. Silicon Valley is beyond 'face painting'; these guys have a lot than they show on their streets!
My visit at Google didn't make me feel insignificant, less, or anything not measuring up, no! On the contrary, I felt like all I am and have is already too much. But how best can I put it to use? What are the ingredients, the make-up, the substance, the internal value and use of what I already have?
My conviction is that it isn't abundance and marvellousness of tangibles, but the quality and beauty of the insides, of the souls of us as humans and the substance of things we use.
Google inspired me to redefine and emphasise quality, uniqueness, and value from within, not from outside. In my view, our everyday people and resources can take us far if their insides or souls or substance or essence is pure and great.
So, yeah, what are you doing with that which you already have or already are? You already have enough. Just amplify it, purify it, maximise it. Be Google. Be the G. Simple at the outside, but the 'Giant of the World'. at , , Mandela Washington Fellowship. Thank you.
