Are you trying to raise funds for a new church building? A monumental task like that comes with many stresses. Oftentimes, this obligation falls on just a few church staff members, and existing church expenses consistently take up a large portion of the church’s fund.

How can you handle this massive project? How can you generate enough monetary offerings for an expensive construction project?

The answer is to implement a strategic fundraising campaign.

Read this guide to learn what kind of strategies are effective and get a list of creative fundraising ideas you can use in your church. You’ll see growth in your church’s bank account and break ground for a new church building before you know it.

How to Get Donations for a Church Building

The church is more than a place for spiritual guidance – it’s where people create and find a close-knit community. You can leverage this strong sense of fellowship by rallying your church members and generating donations for a new church building.

Ultimately, your goal is to build together with the congregation to receive the greatest financial support. Here are a few tips on how to encourage donations for a church building fund.

Make donating easy: The fewer barriers/inconveniences there are to donate, the more likely your church members will give. Given that, you’ll want to offer many methods of payment, including check scanning, bank transfers, text-to-give, and more.

Engage with the people: If you want to motivate people to donate, you have to involve them in the mission as much as possible. Highlight the impact that the new building will bring, share details on fund collection and usage, and keep everybody updated on the project status.

Tell a compelling story: Storytelling pulls on our heartstrings and motivates us to act. The generic “help us build” advertising won’t connect with people, but putting a “face” to the cause and highlighting those who’ll be directly impacted by the new building will. Homes of Promise has provided mattresses and other equipment to many people in need. We have also donated a cooker to a girls’ home in Kampala, run by Cornerstone for teenage girls who have suffered abuse. The cooker is used by the girls for training in baking skills – most of the girls had never even seen a cooker before, as they are used to cooking on charcoal stoves. One young girl who is now taking a cookery course was thrilled at the prospect of being able to bake at home. Now that the girls have the opportunity to learn baking skills, they will have greatly increased their chances of finding paid employment Call or Whatsapp on +256762704791 or +256752443573

Mosque is the blessed house of Allah, and the heart of any Muslim community. It’s a sacred place of worship, contemplation, celebration and spiritual fulfilment, alhamdulillah!

Attending Mosque allows us to be closer to Allah (SWT) but sadly, many of our brothers and sisters simply don’t have access to these sacred places. You can help us build a Mosque in a community that is lacking and empower those who live there with a greater connection to the Almighty. Call or Whatsapp on +256762704791 or +256752443573

The Importance Of Mosques

At Muslim Global Relief, we know that without personal and spiritual development, there can be no social development. In most of the villages we work, mosques are the places where personal and spiritual development happens. Mosques also double as community centres and places of learning. It’s where people are united in worship, where men and women come to for solace and support, and where children learn to read. Mosques are the centre of any community where people can congregate for their five daily prayers and Friday congregation sermons. A mosque serves as a place where Muslims can come together not only for prayers, but for information, education and meetings.

Faith is vital to shaping the attitudes, beliefs and practices that lay the foundation for everyday life. Faith unites people as a community, gives them strength, breeds hope, and inspires social justice as well as the perseverance to improve themselves and their lives. Within the Islamic context where the concept of Zakat obligates the fair distribution of wealth, faith is integral to development. At MGR we build community mosques in remote villages to aid development. Mosques are where people gather to worship. It’s where children learn religious manners and to read the Holy Qur’an. In mosques villagers are united as a community to practice and better understand their faith, which is vital to development. Call or Whatsapp on +256762704791 or +256752443573
