[05/01/20]   WHAT ARE THE NULLIFIERS OF FASTING?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

Fatima al-Zahra’ (AS) said, ‘What is the fasting person doing with his fast if he is not guarding his tongue, his hearing, his sight and his limbs [from sins]?!'

Da`Aim Al-Islam, V. 1, P. 268

There are nine acts which invalidate fast in case are done intentionally:

1)Eating and drinking 2)Sexual in*******se 3)Masturbation (Istimna) which means self abuse, resulting in ej*******on.
4) Ascribing false things to Almighty Allah, or his Prophet or to the successors of the Holy Prophet
5)Swallowing thick dust.
6) Immersing one's complete head in water.
7) Remaining in Janabat or Haidh or Nifas till the Adhan for Fajr prayers
8)Enema with liquids or energy tabs via a**s.
9)Vomiting.

Note;
Qn,When does Ramadan start?
In case the Religious council in your area declare,or you personally observe the sight of the moon,or if you hear two just people saying that the moon was sighted,you start fasting.

Qn,How is intention for fasting done?
It can be done verbally or at heart in any language as Allah is the Inventor of all languages Qur'an 30:22,It can be declared once at the beginning of the month,or daily in the month of Ramadan that; "fasting is solely for Allah's sake"

Qn,When does eating starts and ends in Ramadan?

It starts after breaking fasting at Night till before Adhan Subuh (dawn) Qur'an 2:187.

Qn,What's the real time for breaking fasting, as some break immediately after Adhan,others at sunset and others at Night?

Fasting starts at Dawn(Fajir) and ends at Night.Night always has attribute of darkness.
We don't consider sunset because at times sun might be covered by clouds,or because we may assume that is sunset due to geographical locations like in hilly areas yet it's still day time.Allah clears it that;

..وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْأَ

[03/27/20]   COVID-19:
*Doomed if you do; doomed if you don't* - *Friday Reflections*💫
_by Nishathusein Karim_

The human race is witnessing a major crisis at an unprecedented scale. The impact of this will not be known today, it will not be known tomorrow, it won't be known in a month, neither in six months and nor in one year.
We may probably never know! What we do know is the fact that we are living it, in this moment, at every stage of its journey. No one knows what the future beholds; we live in hope and with prayers.

Some countries are already in a state of 'lock down', others awaiting its impending announcement.
As the debate escalates on the impact this would have on those who live below the poverty line, earning meagre daily wages, toiling through sheer hard work, emotions take precedence in their support and rightly so.
The affluent and greater majority of the business people and working class will sustain themselves through these testing times; the hard hit will be those who go out striving, risking their lives, to make ends meet; to put a meal on the table for themselves and their family.

In simple terms:
Lockdown = intense suffering for some
No lockdown = the risk of ones own and loved ones health and life

*Doomed if you do; doomed if you don't - a double edged sword.*

So what do you do? Which path do you take? Lives have to be saved; yet lives can be lost.

These are moments where humanity has to show; these are moments when mans inner reality comes to the fore.

How do those who have, cater for those who don't?
How do the affluent part with their wealth and truly demonstrate their philanthropy without publicity and pomp?
How do leaders of nations provide for its underprivileged citizens?
How do community leaders cater for the down trodden within their society?
How do employers look after the welfare and wellbeing of their employees?
How do families look after those who travel distances to provide house help?

MAN - *YOU* are test;
MAN - this is your oppo
