We are ramping up road safety mass awareness this festive season in partnership with Mbale District traffic police..
This week we are conducting hotspot mapping exercises led by learners with disabilities in partnership with MoES, Mbale District Engineers, Traffic Police, Mbale District Education Office (Dept of Special Needs) and SHAU to identify areas for modifications. Children with disabilities are twice as vulnerable on the road and there is need concerted efforts to ensure that we design better and do better.

To UZIMA ARI UGANDA with funding from is empowering children with disabilities to lead walkability advocacy in Mbale City. Yesterday we introduced our "WalkWithMe: Healthier & Greener Journeys to school" project to key decision makers outlining their responsibilities in promoting walking and cycling in the city Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety
I was honoured to join the UN Economic Commission for Europe to facilitate a session on the Future of Road Safety and Mobility within the Pan European region. The 1st ever featured various topics ranging from Energy to Environment, Fashion, and Road Safety etc

It was a pleasure speaking at the women in safety awards and was an honor receiving an award for Youth in Road Safety. The Ministry of Transport, Works in partnership with Consult Africa Usalama awarded women leading the Safe Systems Approach implementation and advocacy in Uganda.
