CHILD PARTICIPATION: A KEY INGREDIENT IN UNDERSTANDING AND RESOLVING CHILDREN'S ISSUES.

Ahead to tomorrow's commemoration of the Day of the African Child, children in Butaleja District today, with support from World Vision, convened a Children's Parliament at the district production department. The children debated issues affecting them locally and nationally, and proposed critical action points to be taken by various stakeholders to create a favourable environment for their proper growth and development.

As a body entrusted with the observation and ensuring of children's wellbeing in Uganda, we were glad to witness this fruitful discussion by our future leaders.

We would, therefore, like to appreciate so much the efforts of our various partners such as World Vision, UNICEF, our mother ministry, Gender Labour and Social Development, Butaleja District Local Government, among other Government agencies and departments, for their continuous commitment exhibited towards improving the livelihoods and wellbeing of the children of Uganda.
