Earlier today we attended an engagement organized by Petroleum Authority of Uganda in partnership with EACOP, TOTAL, CNOOC and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development.

The aim of the event was to brief the members of The Government Communicators Forum and Public Relations Association of Uganda on the progress and development of Uganda's oil and gas sector for dissemination to the public.

In attendance was our National Content Consultant, Dave Nzia who paused the pertinent question as to why we weren't empowering and encouraging locally contracted enterprises to share their stories and thereby drive home the point that the oil and gas industry will benefit everyone.

We were sub-contracted by CNOOC Uganda to offload the equipment, do the port documentation, handle Kenya Revenue Authority and Uganda Revenue Authority documentation and haul it to King Fisher oil rig- altogether 250 truckloads of equipment were hauled over a distance 1450 kilometers in 30 days.

This process has alone has had quite a trickle down effect on the economy.

DDG has actively contributed to ensuring that Uganda gets closer to commercial oil production. We were subcontracted to and successfully delivered last month an LR8001 rig from Mombasa DDG Port in Kenya to the Kingfisher oil field at the parallels of Lake Albert. The rig will be used to drill 33 oil rigs.

We have over 100 acres of storage yard space spread across the country. This means that goods and cargo are held in safe and ambient conditions before they are dispatched to our clients.
