Speak Up! Uganda is Bleeding
Following the success of the “Uganda Is Bleeding Doorstep Protest”, we invite you to join us for a series of weekly online protests titled “Speak Up! Uganda Is Bleeding” where you will be given five minutes to raise your voice and speak up about the ongoing assault on democracy, injustices and human rights abuses in Uganda perpetrated by Museveni’s dictatorial regime.
The first event will be held this Saturday 20.02.21 at [14:00 - 17.00 pm GMT (17.00 -20.00 UG time)]
* To join in solidarity and protest with our brothers and sisters in Uganda following the January 14th elections.
* Raise our voices in unity across the world about the ongoing human rights abuses and use the campaigns to change public perception in countries who continue to prop and support the dictatorial regime in Uganda.
* Keep the momentum and spotlight on Uganda in the international community at a time when the regime is orchestrating human rights abuses and continues to deny Ugandan their democratic rights.
- Participants will be given five minutes to present to the world their thoughts, views, suggestions or comments about the situation in Uganda.
- Presentations can be persuasive, informative, motivational, demonstrative,oratorical or entertaining and should be presented to stir debate, reflection or action.
- Poems and other forms of spoken word are welcomed as are presentations from younger members of the community.
