Our own Joseph Ssebatindira defied all odds in his maiden outing at the WTT event in Cairo to remain unbeaten from the group stage to the final where he defeated Egypt’s Hussein Eyad 3-0 (11-6, 11-5, 11-9) to become the first Ugandan to win a world title event.

Congratulations Joseph and Nakasero Table Tennis Club

Today we celebrate the day of the African Child and the theme is Education empowerment and unblocking the Future of the African Child.

It's International Women's Day! Today we get to celebrate how far we've come for gender equality, and the amazing women who have made it all possible.

But International Women's Day isn’t just about looking back. It's also about recognizing that billions of women and girls continue to face barriers to equality, including unequal pay, limited representation, gender-based violence, and discrimination. It is up to all of us to continue to fight for change and create a better future.

Yesterday we celebrated the international day of the girl child.
This is how we empower girlchild in our organization.

Teaching GIRLS NEW SKILLS
Teaching new skills will benefit girls professionally and also actively contribute to reducing gender inequality by increasing on their skill set.

SUPPORT EQUAL TREATMENT BETWEEN GIRLS AND BOYS.

BOOSTING GIRLCHILD SELF-ESTEEM
Encourage your friends to speak up and make sure they know the value of their opinions, so that they’re never scared to use their voice.

BE OPEN AND HONEST
This one can be tricky because it’s not easy to be vulnerable. Sometimes it can be hard to share your experiences with others, but it can play an important role in giving other women a voice.

MENTORING THE GIRLCHILD
Mentoring is a great way to inspire young women. We encourage our girls to participate in an empowerment activity like .

KEEP A GIRL CHILD IN SCHOOL
Education is crucial for empowering women.

EMPOWER GIRL CHILD TO PURSUE THEIR DREAMS
Many of our girls have big dreams–to become doctors, business owners and to help their families live a better life. We support them physically and emotionally to so as to keep on pursuing their Dreams.

EMPOWER GIRLS' SANITATION AND HYGIENE KITS

HELP GIRLS STAND UP FOR THEMSELVES

BUILDING CONFIDENCE IN ONE'S ABILITIES
We empower women by giving them a tool to show their strength, confidence, and athletic abilities.

TRUST, THE IMPORTANCE OF HARD WORK, DETERMINATION, CONNECTION.
As an Organization, the joy of watching these girls play can’t be measured. Not only for the love of the game, but for the bonding experiences that these girls enjoy! Trust, hard work and determination help mold them into better people.

TEACHING THEM LIFE LESSONS LIKE PARIENCE AND PROBLEM-SOLVING.
