GFP is playing an active role in the promotion of organic agriculture and fair trade in East Usambara Mountains and increase of access of small – scale farmers organic products to the world markets that are produced with strict emphasis on sustainable organic agriculture practices. In line with its vision of becoming a lead Tanzanian and East African exporter of organic agricultural and other natural resources products, particularly spices, GFP Limited’s mission is to promote in a sustainable way the growth of the said agricultural and other natural resources products by contracting small-scale farmers whom it trains in organic farming by using environmental friendly farming practices. The farmers receive fair prices by earning a premium over the local prices and the employees are paid fair wages and focuses on the development of rural areas and communities, creation of employment and giving women equal rights.
