Gisteren sloten we onze vier maanden durende reis met Boost je Buurt, powered by Amsterdam Impact, feestelijk af! 🌱✨
Samen met 25 inspirerende lokale initiatieven uit Amsterdam kregen we de kans om te leren, groeien en onze maatschappelijke impact te versterken via wekelijkse sessies en workshops.
De grote finale vond plaats bij The Social Hub (B Corp™) waar we vol trots het Embark Project presenteerden aan het publiek en ons Boost je Buurt-traject afronden.
We zijn dankbaar voor deze leerzame reis en kijken uit naar toekomstige samenwerkingen met onze mede Boost je Buurters! 💛


Yesterday marked the end of our 4-month journey with Boost je Buurt, powered by Amsterdam Impact. 🌱✨
Together with 15 inspiring local initiatives from Amsterdam, we had the opportunity to learn, grow, and strengthen our impact through weekly sessions and workshops.
The finale took place at The Social Hub Amsterdam, where we proudly presented the Embark Project to the public and celebrated the collective progress we’ve made.
Feeling grateful for this journey and excited for future collaborations with our fellow Boost je Buurt changemakers! 💛

Twee maanden geleden begonnen we onze reis met Boost je Buurt, powered by Amsterdam Impact. Sindsdien hebben we elke donderdag samen met andere inspirerende initiatieven gewerkt aan het versterken van onze impact—van storytelling tot sociale innovatie. 💡🌍

Met Embark Project verbinden we jongeren met minder kansen—waaronder nieuwkomers—aan leiders in het bedrijfsleven via omgekeerd mentorschap. Zo bouwen we samen aan een inclusiever en krachtiger Amsterdam. ❤️

We are delighted to partner with Ben & Jerry’s UK to launch a new chapter of Embark Reverse Mentorship Programme. This initiative fosters cross-cultural and generational connections by pairing business executives with younger newcomer mentors in the UK.
Through open conversations on topics like culture, innovation and leadership, participants meet on equal footing to exchange perspectives and deepen mutual understanding.

We were proud to take the stage at 2025 in Paris to share how we are
rethinking leadership and inclusion — one connection at a time.
In a world where belonging is often questioned, Embark changes the narrative:
We connect refugee, newcomer, and local youth with business leaders — through reverse
mentorship, leadership development, and a supportive community — redefining what
leadership looks like and opening new paths for collaboration and growth. We are working
together to build “Access”
To the youth, partners, and mentors who make Embark possible — and to everyone
challenging what leadership looks like: thank you for believing in a future where no voice is
left out.
We’re excited to keep growing, connecting, and creating a future where leadership is truly
inclusive.

The Power of Storytelling: A Journey with Basak Layic

Over the past weeks, we had the privilege of diving into the art of storytelling with the incredible Basak Layic. Our journey began online on February 16th, where we explored the foundations of storytelling—what makes a story compelling, how to structure it, and how to connect with our audience.

Then, on February 23rd, we took our stories from the digital space to the heart of Amsterdam, gathering at Mezrab, a place known for its rich tradition of storytelling. There, Embark mentors shared their personal stories, learning not just about narrative techniques but also about the power of vulnerability, authenticity, and human connection.

A huge thank you to Basak Layic for guiding us through this process, and Embarkers who participated with openness and courage. Storytelling is more than just words—it’s about understanding ourselves and each other on a deeper level.
