The SMU Alumni Association was founded in 2011 by former students of the South Mediterranean University. The aim of the Association is to preserve and develop solidarity and exchange between former students. Regular events, an annual Homecoming, a growing number of alumni chapters in more and more cities worldwide, an intranet with forums, profiles, and job offers, an Alumni Fund for donations, and many other opportunities for participation provide added value for SMU University’s alumni and the entire campus community. This gives rise to a broad, multicultural, international social network based on a common foundation.
• Contribute to the creation of friendly relations and links of solidarity between members.
• Provide support to members for internships, entrepreneurship, employment and career opportunities.
• Contribute to the awareness of the SMU University in Tunisia and internationally.
• Contribute to reflection on economic, technological, environmental, social and cultural issues.
• Organize events, meetings, debates and other activities in order to unite the members and to enrich this relationship around multiple actions.
The Alumni Association is governed by a Board of Directors supported by executives committees who give their time and talents and participate in a variety of alumni and foundation events and programs.
According to Souheil Ben Abdallah, President elected in April 2018, "the SMU Alumni network, which today counts more than 1,500 EMBA, Master and Bachelor graduates, creates a timeless and beneficial link for all graduates of the University SMU, since it is a major tool of networking, to guide graduates on a professional level, whether the day after their graduation or even after a few years of professional experience in a concern of career transition and entrepreneurship promotion.
