Apple issued two critical security assessments about the problem that could theoretically let attackers take total control of iPhones, iPads, and Macs on Wednesday, but they didn't draw much notice outside of tech journals.

According to Apple's description of the flaw, a hacker may get "full admin access" to the system. According to Rachel Tobac, CEO of SocialProof Security, this would enable hackers to pose as the device's owner and then execute any program in their name.
