Over 20 years after it closed, Songkhla's old Saha Cinema (Pattalung road, opposite Banbon Musjid) -- the hollowed-out interior of which serves as a car park -- is now fronted by a hand-painted billboard that pays tribute to the local community.. The work was made by Chiang Mai artist Navin Rawanchaikul and the Navin Production - studiok team as part of his latest community project, which entailed interviewing locals and delving deep into the old port town's history. OK NAKORN - Singora Diary is on show until October 30 but the memories will surely last much longer.

Noodle doodle
A noodle, yes noodle-based piece from the Udomsak Krisanamis retrospective.. his fizzing mixed media works have kooky/sentimental titles such as 'Hercules', 'I Won't Last a Day Without You' and the Mondrian-esque 'Street Dynamite', and come with a tricksy curatorial twist by artist-curator Rirkrit Tiravanija that pulls the rug out from under astute viewers somewhat.
