Beautiful colour of summer but sign of extreme weather.

Flam-boyant fully bloom is summer. The hotter and the drier weather will bring more flowers. After 3 years of La Nina cycle in Thailand, we are in el nino cycle. The forecast said Thailand will be in el nino cycle for the next 5 years. This year, we have already experienced extremely hot temperature (over 45c in many areas) and delayed rain fall.

When dry season comes, unavoiable seasonal burn is part of living in the forest. Unfortunately most of the bush fire is intentionally lit by human.

Plenty of bananas in rainy season. Give away, sell, baked and boil and still plenty. Time to process raw bananas into banana flour. Banana flour is one the high nutrient carb source and can be used for other medicinal purposes.

Blooming season

Baya Weaver on tamarind tree. The local said, they use the nest to predict the rain direction for the season. They belief that the birds build their nest towards the opposite direction of the monsoon in order to protect their nest not to be blown away.

Resting after munching organicly grown vegetable that human grow for us. Thanks for caring this nature for us to live with human harmoniously. I will turn to be a beautiful butterfly soon.

ปีนี้มะขามผลผลิตหลักของบ้าน"ป่ามีสุข" ออกแล้ว แต่มีน้อยเพราะฝนตกเยอะ ทำให้มะขามชื้น มีความเสียหายพอสมควร. มะขามนึ่งแล้วเอามาแกะใส่กล่องเพื่อให้มั่นใจว่ามะขามที่ถึงมือทุกคนปลอดภัย

ฟ้าทะลายโจร (Fa-ta-lai-jorn), scientific name Andrographis paniculata ( Burm.f) is the most important Thai herb that has been used for treating covid-19 in Thailand. Before covid-19, people could buy a fa-ta-lai-jorn pot plant for 10฿. The plant price has jumped to over 100฿ and hard to buy from many nurseries. Fa-ta-lai-jorn is grown like w**d at MeSukh Forest Home. Over 20,000 plants have been picked and donated to some prisons nearby to grow their own herb. Leaves had been picked, dried and donated to Thai traditional medicine institutes. Few hundred plants are donated to ครัวเจ๊ง้อ - JeNgor's Kitchen Kanjaphisek as complimentary to their customers.

Massive overflow of water in wet season and bush fire in dry season, nature teaches us to live with it.

Super heavy and hardly stop rain fall since Monday creating more than 10 steps and beautiful waterfall. However, it causes a lot of damages. Check dam was destroyed. Second biggest pond that was created to hold water before moving to the biggest pond was damaged. Two smaller ponds which were built to store water for the fruit trees down the bottom of property were broken. Though, these ponds have been created with plan to deal with massive amount of water but still couldn't cope with the nature power. Luckily the biggest pond is still holding. Otherwise, there will be catastrophic flood in the village.

Recommended vegetables consumption is 5 serves (1 serve is the size of your fist) per day. Growing with love and care for all nature.
