This week, we tried a couple of dishes from the plant based food menu at Rim Talay Restaurant at the Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort.

Being self confessed carnivores, this was something we were really looking forward to tasting as we often are asked for Vegan or Vegetarian options in Hua Hin.

Can a burger be plant based? The answer is yes. The Mushroom Burger was quite delicious and filling plus the side of banana chips were crispy, crunchy!
The pasta was Carbonara with a topping of mushrooms which went well with the Quinoa Tabbouleh.

Whilst by this stage, we were bursting, even though we were sharing, the Tiramisu is a must have. Our word of warning: the serving is huge and is overly addictive. The scent of coffee, hint of vanilla & the big splash of Kahlua (I think) made it an amazing dessert; Plant based of course.

We found the dishes to be good and I think people wanting to try these options should give it a go! Big serving sizes : Decent flavours.

Dining at the Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort can be a most enlightening experience. In the midst of the gloom and doom that has descended upon the local hospitality scene, the Rim Talay Restaurant by Laksasubha Hua Hin shines brightly, with host Mom Lak showing her way of beating the Copvid-19 blues.

One of the better resorts in Hua Hin with dining oceanside is Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort . This time, at this amazing location, I wanted to try their Vietnamese flavours. Being on my own today, 2 dishes was my limit.

I tried the Bahn Xeo: Crispy turmeric flavoured pancake with a pork stuffing. The pancake was filled pork and bean shoots which was very tasty. The pancake was a little thicker than I have had before however it tasted fine and was served with pickled vegetables and sweet chilli sauce.

Bahn Beo : Steamed rice cakes with dried shrimp and a sweet fish and chilli sauce. These were little mouthfuls of wonderful and great with a little splash of that sweet chilli fish sauce.

Firstly, the portion sizes were really good and for 1 person, I was challenged however how can you stop eating something that is full of flavour.

I will be back to taste some more options on the menu plus they have just introduced a Plant Based Menu which I am keen to try. They are doing some Italian and Mexican dishes as well. Something for everyone.

TAKING A COOLING DIP AT THE LAKSASUBHA

There are really three options if our guests want to take a cooling dip on a hot summer Thailand day or the early evening, for some relaxing gentle exercise or to have fun with the kids.

Our beach location means that the ocean is just steps away, with the calm clean gulf waters offering swimmers or waders a safe carefree Thai beach experience. This is a constantly changing scene, including a passing horse or two taking holiday makers a ride along the sands. Our sunbeds are also available on the beach for guest to soak up some sun or to relax as they watch the kids at play.

However if you prefer to just gaze at the ocean vista as you take a dip, our infinity pool, located alongside the Rim Talay Restaurant and La Costa Bar, is the place to be. Many guests rest at the ocean side of the infinity pool, taking in the view with a cooling drink in hand with sunbeds available alongside to continue complement the pool side experience.

For a family friendly swim with ready access to all our rooms, the central pool has a shallow paddle pool for the toddlers and ready access to the Rim Saa Juice Bar for a fresh cooling drink or a poolside snack.

Both the resort swimming pools are exclusively for the use of our guests. They are salt water chlorinated to avoid the need to store hazardous chemicals and with a daily maintenance and cleaning schedule, clean clear water ensures the health, safety and enjoyment of our guests.

EXPLORING THE BEST OF THE REGION - WAT KHAO DAENG TEMPLE AND VIEWPOINT

Located at the top of Khao Daeng mountain, the Khao Daeng Viewpoint is a most attraction in Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park.

On offer is a breathtaking 360 degree view over the villages, the beach and the mountains. The viewpoint has a height of approximately 157 metres taking about 30 minutes on foot using a nature trail.

Nearby is Wat Khao Daeng, a beautiful Buddhist temple erected beneath a towering cliff.

Visitors may also take a boat ride along the Khao Daeng canal which provides a further opportunity to take in the sights of the natural rocky surrounds and to explore the local fishing village culture and scenery.

Where Hua Hin’s Royal Heritage Began

At the end of 1870’s, His Royal Highness Prince Krisda Bhiniharn Krom Phra Naresra Varariddhi (Prince Nares) was sent on a mission by King Rama V to find a holiday location for members of the royal family. What Prince Nares found and named Hua Hin (Stone Head), become the family summer home and the forerunner of a heritage of royal residences and palaces as Hua Hin Soon Blossomed to become Thailand’s first resort and favoured holiday destination for Thai nobility. The land on which Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort is situated was the home of the great granddaughter of Prince Nares, M.L. Mom Lak is now the owner and General Manager of the Laksasubha Hua Hin. As the guardian of the land, M.L.
