🖊 Tripadvisor review for Doi Suthep Temple and Hmong Hilltribe Village.

Excellent tour with a great tour guide. He spoke great English and was very knowledgeable and shared so much information, history and current circumstances about the hill tribe. He also shared much about the temple, with ample time for pictures. He was very generous with his extensive knowledge and answered many questions from the group. He fostered a friendly and kind environment. The drive was beautiful, safe and comfortable. The pace and ease of this tour made for a very enjoyable morning. Highly recommend! Wish I could go again tomorrow…

Our guide Doi (not sure how to spell it sorry!) was incredible, we were very lucky to be in a very small group so had plenty of opportunity to ask lots of questions and speak to Doi to learn more about everything we saw. Quite a long day but definitely good value for money, seeing a variety of sights in Chiang Mai. Me and my boyfriend will often save money by exploring ourselves without a tour but I’m so glad we joined this one as we learnt so much that we just wouldn’t have if we visited these places alone. It does get cold in the national park so be sure to bring a jacket and maybe go for trousers not shorts. Spending time in the Karen village and meeting the local people was a highlight of this trip, a very authentic experience that you don’t get on many tours. Oh also lunch was incredible- don’t eat a big breakfast that day!

"Worth the long trip!"
Chiang Rai is definitely worth a visit even though a few night stay would be better. But this tour is perfect if you do not have many days to spare if you are in the North region. The guide spoke good English and able to provide great information of the surrounding regions and places that we visited. The van was comfortable and the lunch provided was very good and tasty local food. Some customers may complained of the long journey especially on the way home but you would have to expect that as Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle are very far from Chiang Mai.

🇹🇭 PRESS RELEASE: Thailand’s Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) today approved the easing of the entry rules under the TEST & GO scheme, allowing travellers to arrive in the kingdom by air, land, and water with the required prepaid accommodation reduced to 1 night and the COVID-19 tests revised to 1 RT-PCR and 1 self-ATK. The health insurance coverage has also been reduced to no less than US$20,000.
