‘เมียนมา’ กำลังเผชิญกับมรสุมเศรษฐกิจครั้งใหญ่! เรียกว่าเป็น ‘วิกฤติซ้อนวิกฤติ’ ที่ถาโถมพัดถล่มเข้ามาจนสร้างความเสียหายอย่างหนักต่อระบบเศรษฐกิจ ทั้งผลกระทบจากการระบาดของโควิด-19 ตามด้วยการคว่ำบาตรจากโลกตะวันตก หลังกองทัพเข้ามายึดอำนาจ และนำไปสู่สงครามการเมือง เกิดการสู้รบระหว่างรัฐบาลทหารและกลุ่มกองกำลังชาติพันธุ์ขึ้นในหลายพื้นที่ทั่วประเทศ

และล่าสุดยังถูกซ้ำเติมจากภัยธรรมชาติ หลังเกิด ‘น้ำท่วมใหญ่’ ถึงขนาดที่กองรัฐบาลทหารต้องเอ่ยปากขอความช่วยเหลือจากต่างชาติ ซึ่งผลกระทบจากเหตุการณ์น้ำท่วมยิ่งทำให้ราคาสินค้าในประเทศเพิ่มสูงขึ้น หลายอย่างเริ่มขาดแคลนโดยเฉพาะน้ำมัน ดันเงินเฟ้อพุ่งสูง ขณะที่ ‘ค่าเงินจ๊าด’ อ่อนค่าต่อเนื่อง ทุนสำรองระหว่างประเทศร่อยหรอ เสี่ยง ‘ล้มละลาย’

The recent floods in Southeast Asia have caused devastating damage. In Myanmar, the disaster has taken an especially heavy toll, with flash floods in southern Shan State alone leading to the loss of more than 100 lives, hundreds of homes, and countless properties. Many people remain missing, and the situation continues to worsen.
In response to this crisis, the Burma Students' Association – Chiang Mai University (BSA-CMU), in collaboration with the Regional Center for Social Science and Sustainable Development(RCSD) - Chiang Mai University, Burma Study Center (BSC), Daughters Rising Organization, Weaving Bonds Across Borders (WBAB), BEAM Education Foundation and Golden Land Solidarity Collective (GLSC), is organizing an emergency flood relief fundraising event.

🕒 Time: 4–8 pm
📍 Location: Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University

Join us as we come together to raise funds to provide direct aid to those affected by the devastating floods. Every contribution counts—whether small or large, it will help bring much-needed relief to those suffering and support the rebuilding efforts in southern Shan State and beyond.

· Live music from esteemed bands from Burma/Myanmar
