Here’s what I learnt from my two decade relationship with endometriosis….
You can’t keep your family happy if you ain’t.
You can’t take care of your loved ones if you aren’t healthy.
You can’t really LOVE others if you don’t love yourself.
I learnt these life lessons the hard way.
♥️So I learnt that loving myself meant taking all the steps to first take care of my sickness and spring back to normalcy.
♥️Loving myself meant taking all the discipline to eat right in order to manage endometriosis.
♥️Loving myself also meant I had clear boundaries and that nothing got in the way of my mental health so that I could be there for my kids and family.
♥️It also meant not being too hard on myself, yet not letting myself loose. Keeping my head in the right direction.
♥️Loving myself enough to do all the things it takes to get my life in a healthy state of being.
♥️That’s truly the meaning of healing….self love!!
Love is a strong word in these times! Start with yourself to really understand what LOVE actually means.♥️
Magnesium deficiency is one of the major causes of most painful symptoms associated with Endometriosis.
Here’s a list of symptoms that may need magnesium supplementation or an increased intake of foods rich in magnesium.

The first line of action for improving Endo symptoms is to correct the gut health.
A lot of inflammation can cause a ripple effect with Endometriosis, some examples of compromised gut health are constipation, IBS, bloating, nausea, vomitting, heartburn, food sensitivities, indigestion and a whole lot of other problems.
The best way to start if you still don’t have a medical professional helping you is the eat foods that promote gut healing. These foods help in improving the gut flora or simply put, the millions of healthy bacteria that the gut needs to flourish and eradicate disease in the body.
Next, start supplementing with a good probiotic supplement. You’ll start to see a difference in not just your digestion and over all gut health, but an improvement in all your painful symptoms. Yeah right? It works like magic!
All Endo symptoms have some effect on the gut but if the gut health is corrected, these symptoms are diminished and an improvement in symptoms and pain scores is seen. So work on your gut as the first step towards healing from endometriosis.

Why is supplementation key for Endo?
When it comes to boosting healing with endometriosis, anti-oxidants play an important role. Apart from addressing inflammation, these supplements have hormone balancing, healing, recuperating, and blood marker improving properties.
Anti inflammatory / Anti oxidants nutrients
Fish oil (1000g-3000g/day)
L carnitine (Acctyl-carnitine or l-carnitine, l-tartrate, 500mg-2000mg/day, take with fish oil)
Magnesium citrate or glycinate (citrate is the most beneficial form if you have constipation) (150mg-450mg/day)
Zinc(25mg-75mg/daily, be sure to also supplement with copper if also supplementing with more than that 25mg zinc daily)
Vitamin D (1000 IU-5000 IU/day, take with vitamin K2

Cardio and Endo:
Cardio in any form boosts the serotonin levels as well as immunity in women with Endometriosis.
Staying active can release endorphins or happy hormones helping to decrease stress hormones like cortisol and improve strength. It has also shown that low impact exercise acts as a pain reliever for endo.
So how much exercise is good for Endo?
💪🏻Low impact cardio thrice a week is beneficial for overall health.
💪🏻Cardio should be limited to dance based workouts like aerobics, Zumba or dancercise to improve serotonin levels.
💪🏻High Impact Interval Training should be done less and only under professional supervision.
💪🏻Building core strength is of utmost importance if you want to workout effectively with Endo. Try Pilates, core yoga and core workouts recommended in The Pain-Free Endo System.
💪🏻Lastly, movement is important for alleviating pain with Endo so make sure you move whether it’s a brisk walk, a Zumba class, a jog or just a flexibility routine.

How to reduce pain
Endometriosis pain reduction is different for everyone. Finding a way to reduce your pain might be a process of trial and error. All measures may or may not have their set of side effects.
Here are some things you can try to help ease your symptoms:
1. Invest in a wireless heating pad. A heating pad is one of the best home remedies for Endometriosis pain. It really loosens and soothes the muscles in the area that cramp up when you’re dealing with endo pain.”
2. Use a rice sock. Some women prefer to use a rice sock instead of a heating pad. Taking a clean sock, filling it with uncooked rice, and microwaving it for up to two minutes creates a mechanism to deliver heat to your aching muscles.
3. Take warm baths preferably with Epsom salt. One cup Epsom salt in a bath tub. Much like applying dry heat, warm baths can also work to relax your muscles and ease pain from cramping.
4. Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water can help reduce bloating and cramping. On days that feel especially hard, dehydration might be a factor.
5. Try a TENS machine. Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) units emit vibrations that can cut down on pain and relax muscles. You can try a TENS machine at a physical therapist or purchase an affordable home unit online.
6. Last but not least, keep medication on hand for SOS. Popular choices of pain meds are Ibuprofen, Advil, Tylenol, etc but make sure you take one with serrapeptase, diclofenac & tizanidine for prolonged relief in period pain symptoms.

So how am I coping up with this symptoms...
Actually I'm bit skeptical about this diet. As many of them said dairy 🥛products will not suit us or some other food cause bloating etc. Even am into this category. Not every food suits me. I hired a dietitian but couldn’t see any change in my symptoms.

It’s an interesting story….read on.
I’ve been living with endo since I was in my teens. All my childhood I was always told that a painful period is normal. It’s what every girl goes through and those who don’t are very lucky.
So naturally, I embraced the fact that I’d have to live with pain all my life. Honestly, I was bitter that I had to smile through pain all my life but I had accepted reality and life moved on with getting married and having two wonderful sons.
However, Endo lived in my body all these years growing steadily and increasing the pain and many other complications. I lost job opportunities, missed valuable times with friends and family and also switched careers to be able to stay consistent at work.
Long story short, after 3 surgeries and a life altering incident, I decided I’d take matters in my hands to live a decent pain-free life which is really not too much to ask right?
Well, the ordeal of taking up all the education needed, learning a lot of psychology of pain, shifting my mindset, learning from my mistakes and a lot of other non Endo things that I had to learn to start an online business that helped women with Endo not just live pain-free but also thrive was very long. Yet, it was worth all the hard work and waiting.
I had promised myself that when I finally went from Stage IV Endo to living pain-free and being able to manage my symptoms, I’d celebrate with colouring my hair red❤️. Something to always remind me how I conquered pain and how I can achieve the impossible. To red hair and being pain-free🥂
Eating with endometriosis does not have to be stressful if you know the right way to go about it.
With any chronic disease, instead of giving all your attention to foods that need to be avoided, focus more on nourishing the body with anti-inflammatory and high anti-oxidant rich foods in order to reduce inflammation.
Instead of a restrictive diet, make sure you consume enough macro and micro nutrients to keep you energised and avoid fatigue.
Endometriosis is an inflammatory condition which means avoiding pro-inflammatory foods like processed foods, seed oils, all form of processed sugars and basically all junk food and ready to eat foods.
Additionally, add more natural, organic, home cooked meals to your diet to begin with, then gradually start looking at adding high quality plant protein, fats and carbohydrates along with tons of veggies and fruits.

In order to make a difference in your life, consistency is more important than intention. It's challenging to make anti-inflammatory lifestyle adjustments when you have Endometriosis. Maintain as much consistency as possible by adopting tiny, easy-to-continue steps and forming new habits as you progress.
How it all started.
It all started many years ago when I was a teenager. I had the most painful periods a girl my age could possibly have to the extent that I used to end up skipping school and social events too. The doctors said that I had a hard uterus lining and that I would have no pain after I had children. So fast forward to after I mothered 2 beautiful boys, I was back to square one with the same painful periods which elevated to endometriosis and those who know what that is already know how lucky I was that it came after I already had kids. To add to that, I also developed Asthma! Ugh!! Can you imagine traveling with that sucker??
I was always a fitness enthusiast so I ended up being a licensed Zumba and fitness professional. However, this one thing that hindered my career the most was the leaves and canceled classes associated with my painful periods as a result of which I lost a lot of opportunities. And to top that, I also injured my back. I had degenerative disk disease. Wow right? Well, desperate times, desperate measures!! I got thinking and knew that NUTRITION was the only answer to all my problems. But I didn’t know anyone who would really understand the emotional aspect of my health and fitness so I took up studying Nutrition and 2 years down the line I finished a certification in Nutrition Coaching with one of the world’s leading Nutrition Coaching Programs, PRECISION NUTRITION.
I now have painless periods, in fact, I teach Zumba, Yoga, Group Fitness classes on any given day of my period. My back has never been better. Asthma is literally HISTORY!! My life is back in my own hands and I’m the master of my own destiny!! I also know that there are many more women like me battling with some issues big or small with their health and fitness. I want to help as many people as I can.
