💡ศูนย์ความสว่าง ตะกั่วป่า ได้มีการสอนการบ้านและสอนพิเศษให้กับเด็กในชุมชน ในทุกวัน จันทร์ถึงศุกร์ 📖ซึ่งเราได้ใช้สื่อการสอนที่ทางคุณครูในศูนย์ได้ทำขึ้นมาเอง เพื่อใช้เป็นสื่อในการเรียนรู้และสอนเด็ก 👩🏻‍🏫

💡The Light House Center is tutoring and helping community children with their homework every Monday to Friday. 📖We are using teaching materials that the teachers from the center have developed themselves. 👩🏻‍🏫 We have also been trying to instill discipline and responsibility into the children so they continue to grow and develop good qualities and characteristics.

Special thank you to Nation to Nation for supporting the solar project for the school. The working conditions of the teachers and students are much improved, as they now have sufficient electricity and lighting to do their work.

This learning center was moved to a new location. Before moving the center here, the area was completely empty so we had to build everything new. We build a rainproof building, bathrooms, and a water system that uses both small and large pumps, all powered by solar energy. This supplies enough electricity and lighting to provide for the work of the teachers here.
Everyone worked extremely hard, and two of the workers got sick due to the rain and high temperatures.
We are now nearly finished with the project! A big thank you to our Canadian brothers and sisters, and also Nation to Nation for donating to this project!🙏🏼

เมื่อต้นเดือนกรกฏาคมที่ผ่านมา เราได้จัดกิจกรรม “Welcome back party” สำหรับการเปิดภาคเรียนใหม่ สำหรับนักศึกษา เพื่อที่จะเป็นสะพานเชื่อมทำให้เราได้รู้จักกับนักศึกษาคนใหม่ๆ สิ่งที่เราทำด้วยกันก็คือ เล่นเกมส์ เล่นดนตรีสด🎤กินพิซซ่า🍕และเล่นบอร์ดเกม🎲 ซึ่งบรรยากาศเต็มไปด้วยความสนุก ความสุข และเสียงหัวเราะ 💗

At the beginning of July we had a Welcome Back Party to kick off the first semester of 2023 for university students. We had group games, live music🎤, pizza 🍕and board games 🎲 to reconnect with old friends and build bridges to get to know new students. The atmosphere was full of fun, happiness and laughter. 💗

It was a privilege for our Imagine Thailand to train teachers at Bang Nai Si school on the topic of “Leadership." Samyan NewGen starts a new season of teaching math, Thai, and English. We recently had our “First Meet” to train all our new volunteer teachers and prepare for the season. Everyone’s favorite part was playing board games with the students.🎲👧🏻

📍Mae Sot Update

Clean water project for hill tribes. 💧⛰️

We had the opportunity to donate drinking water filters to several Community Learning Centers in the remote Tha Song Yang District, Tak Province.
It took 4 hours to reach the first school and then an additional 2-4 hours to reach each of the other schools.

We have installed water filters in these locations:
1. Ban Ple Lu Learning Center
2. Ban Kane Jukee Learning Center
3. Ban Zehana De Lou Learning Center
4.Ban Le Ko Kro Learning Center

In February,
We were able to do a Valentine's program for the kids at a local community center. The program involved singing, dancing, games, crafts, and more as we taught the children about love. 💖

Teams from Hat Yai, Takua Pa and Maesot came to Bangkok.

We had the opportunity to talk about the work that we do in each area and encouraged each other.

We are grateful that this meeting went very well and we enjoyed spending time together. These meetings are important for working as a team, as we share the same vision and work together even if we are in different parts of the country.

📌 Samyan NewGen hosted our mid-term meeting with some of our volunteer teachers. This helps us connect and get feedback to improve our program.

It is a great way to build community and encourage our volunteers as they grow and develop.

In cooperation with Mae Tao Clinic and ICRC we were able to provide “Solar Energy Basic Training #2” for NGO workers serving communities who lack access to electricity and clean drinking water. 💧 Participants learned and applied their knowledge on site in order to make sure they impact could move from the classroom to their communities. This is Building Strong Communities. 💪

🇹🇭 หลังช่วงที่มีการลดระดับมาตรการการเดินทางระหว่างจังหวัดในเดือนกรกฎาคมที่ผ่านมา ทีมมูลนิธิอิเมจิ้นไทยแลนด์ได้เห็นว่า โอกาสนั้นใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว ที่จะทำได้มากขึ้นผ่านการร่วมมือกันกับองค์กรที่มีวิสัยทัศน์คล้ายกัน ในช่วงครึ่งปีหลังนี้ ทางมูลนิธิฯ รู้สึกขอบคุณและประทับใจ ที่บริษัท โกลบิช อคาเดเมีย (ไทยแลนด์) จํากัด ได้จัดสรรทีมที่เต็มไปด้วยพลังและความสามารถ 🚙 พวกเราทีมคนไทยได้มีโอกาสไปทำค่ายภาษาไทย เพื่อช่วยให้พี่น้องที่ไร้สัญชาติในอำเภอแม่สอด จังหวัดตากนั้น ได้มีความเข้มแข็งมากขึ้นทั้งองค์ความรู้และการนำภาษาไทยเบื้องต้นไปใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน พวกเราหวังว่า เราจะมีโอกาสทำโปรแกรมลักษณะนี้อีกมากขึ้นเรื่อย ๆ มาร่วมด้วยช่วยกันนะครับ เพราะมนุษย์เราทุกคนเท่ากัน 🤝

🇹🇭 As freedom of transport increases, partnerships do too. With outstanding volunteer teachers from our friends Globish Workspace we were able to provide Thai lessons to a migrant school in Mae Sot. 🚙 By providing knowledge and practice of language, we can help students take steps towards their future career; language to say no to human trafficking; and provide words negotiate in markets. One word… one lesson… one step at time…. Building strong communities. 🤝

#หาดใหญ่อัพเดต เป็นครั้งที่สองที่เราได้จัดกิจกรรมนี้ขึ้นในกลุ่มนักศึกษาของพวกเรา ครั้งนี้เราจัดขึ้นในเดือนกันยายน 2022 นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ที่เข้าร่วมเป็นนักศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ และสำหรับผู้ซ่อนเป็นทีมจากพวกเราและเพื่อนๆ ของเรา ทุกคนชอบ สนุก และตื่นเต้นกับกิจกรรมนี้มาก 🥰

The Mall Hunt
This was the second time we hosted this activity with our students. Most students who joined the activity came from Prince of Songkla University and the hiders came from our team (Sela Team) and our friends. Everyone really enjoyed this activity. Activities bring people together and people together forms community. 🥰

หลาย ๆ คนอาจจะเคยได้ยินโครงการสามย่านนิวเจนมาบ้างแล้ว ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่รวมตัวครูอาสาสมัครในพื้นที่จุฬา-สามย่านและบริเวณใกล้เคียง มาร่วมสอนน้อง ๆ นักเรียนในชุมชนสามย่านด้วยกัน ในเดือนตุลาคมแบบนี้ เรารวมตัวกันอีกครั้งประจำซีซั่นการสอน ที่จะมาประเมินผลโครงการกลางเทอม (Midterm evaluation) ด้วยกัน เพราะพวกเราเชื่อว่า ถ้ามีความพร้อมที่จะรับ feedback ก็ไม่ควรรอให้ถึงตอนจบโครงการ แต่สามารถเปิดพื้นที่ที่จะรับ feedback ร่วมกันในขณะที่ดำเนินโครงการอยู่ได้เมื่อมีการสอนไปในระยะหนึ่ง พวกเราจึงอยากแชร์ภาพบรรยากาศของวันที่เราเพิ่งประเมินผลด้วยกันครับ 🙂👍

Have you heard about our Samyan NewGen program? The program is all about reducing the education gap in the Chula-Samyan community. We value the feedback and opinions of all our volunteers. เป็นช่วงเวลาที่ดีอีกช่วงเวลานึง เราได้ทำงานช่วยเหลือเด็กและชุมชนกับ 🏨โรงแรมซิกเซ้นส์มาเป็นเวลา 8 ปีแล้ว ทำให้เรารู้ว่า ชีวิตของเรามีผลกระทบต่อผู้คนมากมายจริง ๆ เมื่อเรามีโอกาสได้ร่วมมือกับองค์กรอื่น ๆ 🤝
ถ้าคุณมีโอกาสที่จะร่วมมือกันกับองค์กรใด ๆ ก็ตามที่คุณเห็นความเป็นไปได้ที่จะทำได้มากขึ้น มีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น อย่ารอช้าแต่ให้ลองคว้าโอกาสนั้นไว้นะคะ 😊

This week, IMT Takua Pa made their way to Yao Noi 🏝️ to connect with community leaders in the business, education, healthcare and hospitality sectors to discuss ways to collaborate on building strong communities. The result… communities gaining access to clean drinking water; students receiving access to improved curriculum; steps towards teaching and experimenting with local sustainability projects; international collaboration for English camp established. Zoom meetings are good…. But there is something special that happens when like hearted people can be together in person. 💕

ในบางโอกาส เราจำเป็นจะต้องมีใจพร้อมเรียนรู้สิ่งใหม่ ทีมของเราในพื้นที่แม่สอด ในสัปดาห์นี้ ได้เรียนรู้การทำกล่องไฟฟ้าพกพาในพื้นที่ที่ไม่มีไฟฟ้าเข้าถึงในการปฏิบัติงานในโครงการน้ำสะอาดของพวกเรา ที่เข้าไปปรับปรุงดูแล และเมื่อไม่กี่วันก่อน เราเองได้เรียนรู้ที่จะเปลี่ยนถังโดยใช้วัสดุใหม่ที่เป็นโลหะสเตนเลส ที่ไม่เกิดสนิม เพื่อให้การอุปโภคบริโภคนั้นดีและปลอดภัยมากยิ่งขึ้น อยากหนุนใจทุกท่านให้มองสิ่งใหม่เป็นโอกาสในการเรียนรู้ร่วมกันนะคะ 😄

Sometimes you need to be extra open-minded for the day. Our team learned how to make a custom power box.
The power box is an energy box for use int the field that has no electric power.

The other day, we also tried to understand how to replace an old pressure tank to the stainless one for the first at New Blood Learning Center for the purpose of clan water project. It is life-long learning for everyone of us right? 😇

The Imagine Thailand Family is heartbroken at the recent events in Nong Bua Lampu province. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families. We stand with our community in solidarity for those impacted through this tragedy.

😊กลับมาแล้วหลังจากที่เราไม่ได้ทำสิ่งนี้เป็นเวลา 7 ปี การอบรมให้กับ คนในชุมชนที่ทำงานโรงแรมและบุคลากรที่ทำงานโรงแรมอยู่แล้ว เราได้จัดอบรมขึ้นในหัวข้อ #การเป็นเจ้าบ้านและการสื่อสารที่ดี เพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพของทุกคนให้ดียิ่งขึ้นในการทำงาน เพราะเรารู้ว่า เราต้องทำงานกับคนและมีความรักความอดทนและความเข้าใจในผู้คนอยู่เสมอ ทางมูลนิธิรู้สึกเป็นเกียรติอย่างมากที่เรามีโอกาสมารวมตัวกันและมีวิทยากรจากต่างประเทศ มาอบรมให้พวกเราถึงที่เลยค่ะ 🙏🏼

We’ve trained community members in soy byproduct use, soap making, basics in baking, to name and few… and now, through partnership with Six Senses Yao Noi (K’ Tot + Benjamin) and our local government office, we equipped community members with training in “hospitality for hotels and resorts”. 🏨

Thank-you to our participants and those who helped make it happen! We’re building strong communities together. 🙏🏼

💡เป็นเวลากว่า 2 ปีที่เรามีโครงการสามย่านนิวเจนในชุมชนสามย่าน ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่เกิดในช่วงโควิด ในช่วงที่โรงเรียนในชุมชนปิด และเรียนออนไลน์ไปจนถึงเรียนน้อยมาก แต่พวกเราไม่อยากให้การศึกษานั้นน้อยลงในระยะเวลาที่ผ่านไป พวกเรารู้สึกขอบคุณที่มีทรัพยากรพอสมควร ชุมชนที่เต็มใจ และพาร์ทเนอร์ที่ตัดสินใจทำโครงการด้วยกัน
ทำให้โครงการนี้เกิดขึ้น และทำให้พวกเราได้เชื่อมไปสู่นักเรียนมัธยม นิสิตนักศึกษาและวัยผู้ใหญ่ตอนต้น ที่ได้เข้ามาร่วมกันในโครงการและสอนเด็ก ๆ ร่วมกันกว่า 100 คนต่อปี 📚

✨It has been two years since we started this program during the early months of COVID. Schools were closed but we didn’t want these students’ education to be paused. We’re thankful for the community that has formed, resources provided and partnerships we have to make this possible. Our new normal is now a lifestyle that is more engaging than ever. We connect high school students, university students and young adults in the area to be part of building community in Samyan. They are and equipped and empowered to make a difference. 💪🏼

We just returned from a service trip to Takua Pa with our friends from Sela community to serve alongside our Imagine staff, P Tak and P Te at the Lighthouse Learning Centre. This trip was a memorable one as we experienced life with them. 🪣🧽🎉🌞

Fun and learning - the best way to have an English camp! 🏕 In partnership with Globish and Bang Nai Si Kindergarten School, we launched the first of more-to-come English camps. 66 students took part in our English Level 1 camp. The children were knowledgeable, fun, and not afraid to speak English. We won’t stop in our vision to build strong communities - helping communities grow in their courage to speak English. 👦🏻👧🏻
