Maybe it’s just me… but I’ll admit, it can feel a little hurtful sometimes when people I know come to the club and don’t even say hello. 🎧

For many DJs, we’re not just playing music — we’re helping create and host the entire vibe of the night.

Back when I was DJing in NYC, even famous celebrities, musicians, and singers would often come greet the DJ when they entered the venue. Not because anyone was “above” anyone else — but simply out of respect and acknowledgment for the person helping shape the atmosphere.

That always stayed with me.

Even today, something as simple as a quick wave, nod, or “great set” can mean a lot.

Maybe old-school nightlife etiquette still matters to me. What do you think? Am I overthinking it, or do others feel the same?
