1. Golden Mountain ( walking distance from the hostel.)
2. Wat Arun (walking distance from the hostel.)
3. Suntichaiprakarn Park
4. Rama 8 bridge
All of these places located nearby canal and river. In the event, you will be enjoyed local Thai food, local product, and fun activities. Interested guests could join Loy Kratong Festival on 11 Nov. from 6 pm. - midnight. 😄

Walking with guests to Royal Barge Exhibition.

Walk with Vietnamese guests to see Royal Barge Exhibition in Sanam Luang nearby the Grand Palace, Bangkok. It is a great chance to see and learn about Thai royal barge procession. Visitors can see the royal barges which are beautiful, and delicate. Beside, you will see Thai traditional performance, light and sound showing the previous Royal barge procession through curtain falls. All of this are entrance free. Interested tourists could come and join this event from now until 11 Nov.19 😃

Thank you a family from Philippines to stay with us for 2 nights. They were lovely family esp. 2 boys. Hope to see you all come back to stay with us again. 😘

Time to say Good Bye for the Chinese couple who stayed with us almost a month. They were very nice and always greeted us all the time we met each other. They decided to have a long stay here because the lady needed time to recover herself from the surgery in Siriraj hospital. Now they left and we wish them a safe journey back to China and hopefully, one day we will meet each other again. 😊

We are the hostel of kid friendliness. Our staffs have a great communication skill with all kids around the world. No matter what language they speak, we can communicate with them. 😄😄😄

5 December is a public holiday in Thailand. It is known as a Birthday of King Rama 9. and father's day. Most of Thai people wear Yellow shirt today, and there is a memorial ceremony in the evening at Sanam Luang nearby The Grand Palace.

22 November - Full moon night and it's an important festival in Thailand - "Loy Krathong" In this day, Thai people will release decorated float into the river to pay respect to the goddess of the river. This evening Thai People will join this festival beside the river or canal. You will see the decorated float with banana leaves, flowers, joss stick, and candle float along river. It's a beautiful festival, and most of Thai comes with family, friends or lover. The guests who stay at Au Bon Hostel could join Loy Krathong festival in Rama 8 bridge area, or temple of dawn. It takes around 20 minutes to walk. The good time to join this festival is between 6 - 10 pm.

If you stay with us and would like to have a breakfast. The easiest and nearest place is 7-11 opposite to our hostel. They have some light meal like sandwich or burger for your breakfast but if you would like to have a western breakfast set, you can walk to Kaffee house BaanBoran next door, or walk to Forklift cafe where it is not too far from our hostel. If you are a person who just drink only coffee in the morning, we have that kind of service to serve you for free. 😋

Despite to have a comfortable stay at Au Bon Hostel. We have tour and transportation service to serve guests who stay here. 23 Oct. Chulalongkorn Day; the memorial day of our beloved King.

23 October is Chulalongkorn Day ; the memorial day of King RamaV or King Chulalongkorn who was our beloved King of Thai people. During his reign, his major royal duties were announcement of abolition of slavery, prevent Thailand from being colonized from other countries. Since he used to visit some western countries he brought the new technology to improve our country. For example; he improved postal and telegraph services, and he improved the construction of Thailand’s first railway.

On this day, it’s a public holiday, Thai people and governors will pay respect King Rama V by placing wreaths at the Equestrian Statue of King Chulalongkorn in the ground of Dusit Palace.
