Fat Off Challenge 2022 at RSM Thailand

RSM Thailand’s Fat Off Challenge is a fun way to jumpstart a healthy lifestyle change and promote wellness. This was specifically designed to be a toning and weight loss workout and getting people ready to drop some beads of sweat, and inches in a healthy way.

The Fat Off Challenge commenced on 1st September 2022 and ended on 31st October 2022. 42 employees took part in the challenge. The weight loss was calculated as per the percentage weight lost during the 2 months. The winners were the ones who lost the most weight in terms of percentage. The total cash rewards amounting to 25,000 Baht were handed over to 10 winners.

RSM Thailand celebrated RSM World Day 2022 on 27th October 2022. The theme for this year was “Owning our Future”.

RSM Thailand has been a supporter of the charitable activities of the Beaumont Foundation for many years and specifically the Ruam Pattana School in Chaiyaphum which was set up in 2013 to provide education to some of Thailand's most impoverished children in one of Isaan's poorest regions.

RSM Thailand's Managing Director Gareth Hughes visited Ruam Pattana School in Chaiyaphum on 24th September 2022 prior to the RSM World Day 2022. Along with RSM Thailand Staff, he presented a cheque to Mr. Tim Beaumont who heads up the Beaumont Foundation on RSM World Day 2022.

Khun Pitipong Santadram, Payroll Manager at RSM Thailand received a special invitation from the Director of Naresuan University International College (NUIC) on 26th August 2022 to conduct a seminar on “Office Life 101” at the NUIC Phitsanulok, Thailand Campus. The purpose of this seminar was to provide NUIC students an overall knowledge of the workplace and prepare them for their future careers and also to provide an insight of the potential career paths available within the RSM Thailand Group of Companies in addition to the RSM International Secondment Program as well as the RSM Academy. The seminar was a huge success and was well received by all of the NUIC students that attended.

RSM Thailand in collaboration with Harrow International School Bangkok successfully completed a productive 2022 Harrow Work Experience Week program with Year 13 students Adil Bolat, Jack Hughes, and Sean Choi.

RSM Thailand has been offering work experience program since 2010. The internship covers an extensive overview on all the services that RSM Thailand provides such as Audit & Assurance, Business Advisory & Legal, Accounting & Taxation, Human Resources & Payroll, Executive Recruitment & Outsourcing, Information Technology and Marketing.

This is program has been widely commended and we trust that this experience will turn out to be beneficial for our interns and give them a good foundation going forward to whatever career they wish to pursue. We thank our trainers for their continued support in making this program a successful one.

The event was organised by Samantha Chan FCA, Head - Singapore at Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and in attendance were special guests from Australia - Kate Boorer FCA & President of CA ANZ together with Adelle Evans, Head of Marketing CA ANZ. Certificates were presented to new members of CA ANZ as well as those who were elevated to Fellowship status with also a special Order of Australia certificate to one member for his excellent services. This was the first face to face event of its kind since 2019 due to the ongoing pandemic and which turned out to be an excellent and enjoyable evening.

RSM Thailand Limited were extremely proud to have been one of the major sponsors of the Annual Beaumont Foundation Golf Charity Event yesterday which raises money for the Ruam Pattana School which was established by Tim Beaumont and his team to provide much needed education for less fortunate kids residing in Chayiaphum. RSM Thailand has been a supporter of the Beaumont Foundation Charity for many years and some of the children of Ruam Pattana School have also undertaken work experience at RSM. The event was a huge success with kids from the school performing as a rock band with a famous Thai Superstar singer to entertain the golfers at the evening dinner immediately after the game. Thank you to Time, Thalia and their team for arranging the event!

On Thursday, 10th March 2022, RSM Thailand sponsored the Rotary Club of Bangkok South 33rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Thana City Golf & Sports Club, Thailand.

Gareth Hughes, Managing Director of RSM Thailand and the RSM Thailand Team represented by Surachai Damnoenwong, Pardorn Suchiva, Takako Yanagisawa and Mike Watkins participated at the golf tournament.

The Rotary Club of Bangkok raises over 3,000,000 Baht annually from various fund-raising activities including sponsorships and cooperative programs. All the money is channeled directly to projects benefiting the poor and disadvantaged in Thailand, with an emphasis on sustainable projects assisting children.

On Monday 8th March 2022, the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand held a Women in Business Group Event to celebrate International Women’s Day at the Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit. Bhavana Kumar, Associate Director of RSM Thailand attended the event. The speakers at the event were Net Supatravanaij, Co-founder of ila, Jane Ratanaporn, Human Resource Director of Diageo Moet Hennessy followed by Sammy Anuras, Emiri Miyake and Alexis Loke, Students of Bangkok Patana School shared their experience on how to address bias in the workplace, addressing bias as a young female professional and unconscious bias. James Teague, Country President of AstraZeneca was the moderator of the event.
