Travelers Allowed To Visit Thailand
Long Stay Tourists: STV Visa (Special Tourist Visa)
Thailand announced a 90-day visa for long-stay tourists on September 15th, 2020. The visa is called the ‘Special Tourist Visa' (STV).

Entry Requirements:

Proof of payment for 90 day accommodation booking
14 day ‘state quarantine' upon arrival
Preference given to low-risk countries according to the Public Health Ministry regulations (countries are not defined)
Proof of travel and medical insurance that covers COVID-19 with at least $100,000 USD in coverage for the entire duration of your stay
How to Apply:

Travelers must apply at a Thai Consulate/Embassy in your home country.

Once approved, the traveler must pay the 2,000 baht, provide proof of paid accommodation, provide proof of travel insurance and flight information.

Length of Stay and Renewals

The Special Tourist Visa will allow approved travelers to stay in Thailand for 90 days. It can be renewed twice, for 90 days each time...

7 guidelines for accepting travelers into Thailand without quarantine and without restrictions on areas as follows:

1. A traveler from a country designated by the Ministry of Public Health and come only by air

2. Documents or evidence that has been vaccinated with 2 injections

3. There is no confirmed COVID-19 test result by RT-PCR method no later than 72 hours before departure.

4. Get health insurance at least 50,000 USD (I think it should be only for foreign tourists, the price of insurance for 1 month is about 3,100 baht)

5. Have a booking form (expect to reserve a room Hotel AQ or SHA+ 1 night to wait for the results of PCR test at the airport in Thailand)

6. Upon arrival at the airport The required application must be downloaded and tested for infection. by RT-PCR method on day 0-1

7. The results of the infection test, no infection found, able to continue traveling without detention

Thailand Plans to Halve Quarantine as Reopening Seen Delayed

Tourism-reliant Thailand is planning to slash a mandatory quarantine period for vaccinated international travelers to seven days to boost its economy as a wider reopening is seen delayed by a low vaccination rate.

The reduction in quarantine from the current 14 days will help boost Thailand’s economy and tourism, according to Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the Department of Disease Control. If a shorter isolation period is approved by the nation’s Covid-19 task force, it could be effective from October 1, he said.

Under the proposed rules, international travelers with vaccine certificates will still need to be tested for Covid-19 upon arrival and before leaving the quarantine, according to Opas. Visitors without jab certificates arriving by air will be subjected to a 10-day quarantine, while those arriving by land will have to complete a 14-day quarantine.

Thai officials have signaled a delay to previously announced plans to scrap the quarantine for visitors to several provinces, including Bangkok and Chiang Mai from Oct. 1, citing their failure to meet the 70% vaccination threshold for local residents. Passengers can check information before travel and check the epidemic control measures in the situation of COVID-19 of #Phuket at the Official COVID-19 Information Center Phuket.

Passengers entering Phuket must present one of the following evidences.
1. Must be a person who has been vaccinated. (Must be injected at full dose according to the requirements of each vaccine, except Astra Zeneca, which can be injected 1 dose), or
2. Have a COVID-19 test result from the RT-PCR or Antigen Rapid Test, not older than 7 days prior to travel, or
3. In case you were a COVID-19 patient and had been cured for no more than 90 days, you must have a certificate of treatment.

If passengers cannot provide the evidences, they will be travel denied by THAI Smile Airways.
