Congratulations to our Chittawadi Chitrabongs with her first on-line teaching during pandemic. The writing course is about the notion of “Everyday Life”.

We would like to share the works via on-line platform Architectural Writing 2020 Exhibition.

Curartistry Trees in Bangkok
was a continuation of last year theme of trees in Bangkok and to further develop the method of work which characterises student’s production so the cycle of the school over two weeks is to visit sites which we think represent and dramatise aspects of the life of tree at an individual level and in a collective sense.

This will be follow by a period of writing a description of the student’s response which permits a transformation of a description into the emerges of a particular expression of the student fashioning of his or her fantasy of the situation.

The result of of AAVS Bangkok 2019 work can be seen in the following images, designed and hand bound by MadeOfTwo.

The theme of the workshop will be in and around issues of the support or almost the infrastructure of trees. Many single trees are supported by some sorts of material with whatever is needed to keep the tree upright, strong and healthy.

So it is concerned with the place where the tree is planted and any subsequent artificial means for supporting the trunk and the branches.

AAVS Bangkok workshop on Curartistry will deal again with the general issue of trees in the city. Many students have expressed their satisfaction with the last school and have asked that the topic should be further developed. So this year we are conscious of the need for the school to make it relevant to students who have come before while, and at the same time, fully open to students who did not come last year.
