Are you familiar with the traditional art of hand-roasting tea? 🍃This craft requires years of experience to feel the subtle change of leaves and apply the correct combination of shifting, pressure and heat accordingly. ⁠

At Araksa tea garden tour, we will show you how to make tea by hand from kneading to roasting tea leaves which requires expertise and sensory in order to get the quality and unique flavor.

Araksa Tea Garden covers 111 acres and consists of tea plants that range from 40 to 70 years old. The site is one of the oldest tea gardens in Thailand.

One of the popular activity is tea garden tour which you can carry a bamboo basket to pluck tea leaves then watch the demonstration of kneading to roasting tea leaves by hand before enjoy a cup of tea and Thai snack.

🌱 Our entire garden is USDA and EU Certified. No use of chemicals or harmful toxins.

🌱 We have created natural buffer zones to prevent contamination from the air and soil.

🌱 Only pluck by hand rather than using machines in order to use clean energy and support local workers.

Open every daily, 08:00-17:00. (closed on Wednesday)

ฟาดข้าวแข่งกับฝนค่ะ 🌧 หลังจากที่เก็บเกี่ยวข้าวเสร็จ มัดข้าวเรียบร้อยแล้วก็ต้องเก็บข้าวมารวมกันที่ลานสำหรับฟาดข้าว การฟาดข้าวคือ การเอามัดข้าวที่แห้งดีแล้วไปตีเพื่อให้เมล็ดข้าวหลุดออกจากรวงข้าว เพื่อที่จะได้แยกเศษฟางข้าวออกจากเมล็ดข้าวได้ง่าย ก่อนที่จะบรรจุใส่กระสอบต่อไปค่ะ

🌧 It started to rain and our hill tribe villagers were threshing the rice. Manual harvesting is very effective but it is labour intensive that requires 40 to 80 hours per acre to manually collect and haul the harvested crop. Our own rice paddies encircle the lodge and you are welcome to join in as we plant rice seedlings or harvest the ripe crop.
