Mini iPhone 13 image, remote village along the Mekong, Northern Laos.

Might be upgrading to a Z8 and Z lenses, this was taken with my mini iPhone 13 though. At 100% not totally crisp enough for clients obviously but ok as a representation of my Lao Photo-Tours.

Farnborough Airshow 2024 -Flying the flag. A cropped version of Red Devils display team, dropping into red smoke from a flare. I showed someone the picture on the back of my camera and he asked if it was AI or Photoshopped. As it was the viewfinder on the back of the camera he was looking at it made me smile.

Birth three days ago, funeral two days ago, yesterday a village celebrated as the new member of the community had sat with his mum with the herbal steam at her back for 28 days and could now be introduced to the community. Shot on my iPhone just s fun picture, again processed using Topaz AI. Sharpened the faces on auto quite well as it only had a small JPEG to work with. Rural Laos.

Z8 or a D850? Through the lens or not? D850 I can keep my same lenses and probably my same MacBook for a year more.

This four day old baby son looks big and healthy. The mother has had five children now so while still having to sit with the herbal medicine boiling it's steam on her back for four weeks she is able to do light jobs around the house. Again not a perfect image and one you have to take quickly so not to disturb the peaceful child. The clinic I visit often in Northern Laos provides so many vital services to the neighbouring villages. The other favourite village I take student's to, along the Mekong about 2 hours out from Luang Prabang, is always shall we say lively. Weddings, Birthdays, Saturdays, Sundays almost any excuse they seem to have a party or two going on. https://photographyschoolasia.com/laos-luangprabang/

Spent 30 minutes taking pictures of the locals school children in Kampong Phluk, I know the teachers, parents and the village very well so have permission. As I am working in India for a school and development project in October I thought I would photography the children. The school knows me at Phnom Phluk and I have asked for permission etc. Quiet impressed what a Mini iPhone 13 can do with half hour's work. Amy I am only bringing my iPhone to India for our job there :)

Phsar Leur Market yesterday on a iPhone13 using Apple's free editing software. I changed the ratio to 3.2 also. The top image is a little too sharp for my tastes but unsure I want to spend time replicating this edit just for a Facebook post. Been looking to possible go mirrorless and buy the Z8 and lenses 7k USD all in. Or I might just use my small iPhone on jobs :)
