The African Confederation of Principals is currently convening in Pretoria, South Africa, for its Annual ACP Council Meeting.
This important gathering brings together national education leaders from across the continent to advance a shared mission: strengthening effective school leadership in Africa.
Highlights of the programme include country reports, ACP policy deliberations, the exchange of best leadership practices, and discussions focused on shaping the future of education and driving meaningful change in schools and communities.
The meeting is also laying the groundwork for the upcoming ACP Conference 2027 in Maseru, Lesotho.
The Council Meeting runs from 26β30 April 2026, with participation from Eswatini, Lesotho, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, Malawi, and Uganda.

On Wednesday, 15 April, the EPA National Executive Committee (NEC) convened a meeting with the Shiselweni and Lubombo Regional Executive Committees to strengthen coordination and enhance member support.
The meeting underscored the importance of proactive leadership, consistency, accountability, and efficient organisational processes.
It further emphasised the need to strengthen member support, improve coordination of activities, and create inclusive opportunities for participation by members from other regions.
