The Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area, H.E. Stephano Wieu, has reportedly ordered all citizens of Unity State who are operating as traders in Parieng to leave the area within 72 hours.

According to the order, the administration will not be responsible for the security of any trader who fails to comply within the given timeframe.

However, reliable sources on the ground have confirmed that the directive was issued verbally by the Chief Administrator, and no formal written document has been presented so far. The reasons behind issuing such a verbal administrative order remain unclear.

Fundraising Event for IDPs in Jonglei State

Youth Organization for Peace Support (YOPS), is organizing a Fundraising Event in Support of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) affected by the crisis in Jonglei State.

In response to the recent crisis, this initiative aims to mobilize support to assist families who have been displaced and are currently facing urgent humanitarian needs.

The funds raised during the event will contribute toward providing essential humanitarian assistance such as food, shelter, and medical aid to families affected by the crisis in Jonglei State.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Youth Organization for Peace Support (YOPS), to stand in solidarity with vulnerable communities and support humanitarian efforts in times of need.
