The meeting focused on improving cabinet coordination and aligning ministry work with government policy.

President Kiir called for stronger teamwork and urged ministers to put the national interest first in delivering services to citizens.

The President stressed that unity and effective delivery remain the SPLM’s top priority.

Today, on this historic day, we bow our heads in remembrance and pride.

We honor Dr. John Garang de Mabior and the countless men and women whose courage lit the path to our freedom. In this pictorial record of our revolutionary journey a testament shown the former Speaker Dr. Jemma among the women who dedicated their sacrifice, resilience, and hope.

We convey our appreciation to the former Speaker Rt.Hon Dr. Jemma Nunu Kumba, among the women who stood firm in those critical years, defending justice, dignity, and the right to self-determination.

Our late father Dr. John Garang, your sacrifice was not in vain.
You fought so that South Sudan could stand free.
You endured so that the future generations could dream without chains.

𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲- 𝗝𝘂𝗯𝗮, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗱𝗮𝗻

His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit, the Chairman of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), today chaired a party leadership meeting that was attained by Cde. Dr. James Wani Igga, the first Deputy, Cde. Simon Kun Puoch, the third Deputy and Secretary General Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit.

The leadership discussed issues pertaining to the party reorganization and operations, the efforts include development of party sectoral policies on health, education, infrastructure, assessment and auditing of party assets, investments and the implementation of grassroots mobilization strategically intended to consolidate the party's political base in anticipation of general elections

The SPLM Leadership meeting also resolved to convene SPLM Parliamentary Caucus meeting in response to the request by members of Transitional National Legislative Assembly representing various SPLM Constituencies.

Speaking to the media, the SPLM Secretary General Dr. Akol P Kordit said that the Chairman has directed the party leaderships to emphasize on necessity of internal cohesion and administrative transparency to ensure the party remains a stable vehicle for good governance and directed a parliamentary caucus meeting of the party.

He said that the SPLM National Secretariat is exerting efforts to reorganise the Party and develop policies that are people centered, he shaded light on party's efforts to prepare for the upcoming general elections , the SPLM aims to strengthen its organizational capacity focusing on peaceful electoral participation reflects the broader objective of transitioning the state toward a more stable and prosperous state.

Hon. Dr. Kennedy Gaaniko Baime, the Undersecretary of Health, lead the general cleaning campaign within the ministry, premises today 9th-01-2026 Juba.

Dr. Kennedy, says that the general cleaning campaign is about the disease preventions by keeping the environment clean, because the transmission of malaria, and other diseases come through dirty environment.
Kennedy also appreciate all the supportive staffs and Partners for turning in good number.

Meanwhile the representative of World Health Organization reiterated their commitment to support the Ministry of Health in ensuring that the public health in such activities like general cleaning campaigns.

In his part Dr Gift Natana , Director General who also represents, the teaching Hospital's added that this general cleaning campaigning has started here in the Ministry of Health headquarters will continue up to all the Hospitals within the Country respectively.

STRENGTHENING SOUTH SUDAN'S HEALTH SECTOR

Hon, Dr Martin Elia Lomuro, Minister of Cabinet Affairs who also doubles the Acting Minister of Health and Hon, Dr Kennedy Gaaniko Baime Clement Chaired Extraordinary High level Steering Committee ( HLSC ) Meeting with Partners, Donors and World Bank this morning 18th December- 2025 .

In His remarks Hon, Minister Dr , Martin Elia Lomuro who also doubles as Acting Minister of Health , highlighted some of critical strategic plans for the nation’s health situation.

"As the top decision-making body for health projects in South Sudan, the HLSC focused on ensuring transparency, financial accountability, and the effective delivery of medical services to all citizens."

Meanwhile Hon, Dr Kennedy Gaaniko Baime Clement, Undersecretary, Ministry of Health echoed the great work done by Health Sector Transformation project South Sudan for Health Services across the Country.

Donors and other Health Partners reaffirmed their continues dedication, commitment to support the Health sector accordingly.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by several officials including states Members of parliament in Eastern Equatoria State.

Hon, Dr Kennedy Gaaniko Baime, assured the people of Nimule that the Ministry of Health will continue to support and collaborate to endure that Health Service should be reaching all the people.

He also added that some of the Challenges which were Highlighted by Speakers , the Ministry will look into it and see some of the possible ways on how to address it accordingly.
