As the nations of the world come together to celebrate and realize the efforts towards peace building, may we all realize that we are not one and another's enemy, but brothers and sisters. May we also realize that we are a global village separated by seas and oceans, but united by love and peace. May we be one as we strive to put to an end the abuses and violence against humanity and our natural world. May we also realize that peace is the foundation of development, prosperity and economic growth. We wish everyone across the world a happy International Peace Day.

Photos taken during the Inter-agency assessment mission in Tonj North County, one of the counties in Tonj that has been affected by Intercommunal cattle related conflicts. As directed by the RRC, the team assessed the locations under Awul, Manalor, Rual-bet and Akop payams.

The team couldn't hold their tears as they saw vulnerable groups such as children, women and people with disabilities sleep on the mere ground, eating wild leaves as a copying mechanism for survival and having no water for drinking. They couldn't also hold their tears as they received the reports of children and women who died of severe diarrhea as a result of eating wild leaves everyday. The findings on hygiene & sanitation, health and nutrition were very scaring. The team also noticed lack of covid-19 awareness in the area.

After conducting FGD on the key priorities needs, The team noted the four major priorities that includes food, Shelter, Water and Drugs. Among the team that visited for assessment, many partners with some resources have already shown the will to return for the response. Be part of the response team.
