QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Currently, in many of our cultures, if a man discovers his wife with another man, he has the right to take her and the other man to court. However, if a woman finds her husband with another woman, she cannot do the same. This shows that some of our cultural practices are biased against women. If we start proposing that the Family Bill allows women to take their unfaithful husbands to court, some people might oppose such changes. Cultural practices, especially negative ones, pose a challenge to the passage of the Family Bill, but also [the] lack of prioritization or support from the government.” — Kaunda David, Civil Society Activist

ENERGY

No work can be done without energy.
In physics, work is defined as the transfer of energy when a force moves an object over a distance. This is based on the concept of Work (physics).
If no energy is used or transferred, then no work is done.
Even simple activities like lifting a book, walking, or pushing require energy.
Sometimes people think “no work” is happening when:
There is no movement (e.g., pushing a wall that doesn’t move) and actually no work is done, even though energy is used.
An object is at rest and no work is being done at that moment.
So the correct idea is: Work always requires energy; without energy, work cannot occur.
