Our environmentally friendly HDPE mini barge reached 6 knots with 10 people onboard, only powered by a 25 year old Yamaha 55hp outboard engine. It can carry 8000kg with a draft of only 60cm! 👍⚓💪

Yesterday 04.04.2022 was a milestone in ASB history. Together with Wale Marine in Cape Town we have developed a modular mini barge system made out of recyclable HDPE and recycled plaswood. The trial was perfect and we can't wait to test the barge on the river Nile in South Sudan. Game changer for Inland Waterway Transport (IWT) as it can carry heavy loads with minimum draft.
