Theodore Roosevelt once said, “To educate a man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society.” You cannot hope to build a better world without improving individuals. Now more than ever, educators shouldn’t teach just content, they must also teach morals, ethics and cultivate empathy and mindfulness in every student.
Thomas Jefferson, the third President of the United States of America once said, “Nothing can stop the man with the right character from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong character”. Your degree is just a piece of paper, your education is seen in your behavior, attitude and character. One thing graduates need to understand is that your employer is employing you and not your certificate! No matter how educated, talented, connected or rich you believe you are, how you treat people ultimately tells all.

South Sudan’s Ministry of General Education and Instruction has instructed that all schools in the country should be reopened after a one-year hiatus due to the pandemic spread. The announcement made by Awut Deng Achuil was reported by a local radio station.
UNICEF has shared in the excitement and has promised to partner with the school’s education ministry to ensure that learning continues. The statement was made via Twitter.
Millions of children were out of school due to the pandemic affecting more girls than boys. News of school resumption has been met with a lot of excitement by both students and parents alike.

In South Sudan, the least electrified country in the world, where temperatures frequently go above 40 degrees Celsius, UNICEF has equipped over 700 health facilities with solar powered fridges. That’s about 50% of the health facilities in the country where medicines and vaccines can be kept cold.❄️💉
Let every teacher who accepts the responsibility of educating the children and youth, examine himself, and study critically from cause to effect.
