As per the Bank of South Sudan rate, 1 dollar is equivalent to 460ssp. However this rate is different from that of the black market which sells 1usd at 500ssp.

SPLM/A IO (KD) Spokeperson William Gatjiath joins SSPDF despite the ongoing Peace talks between Government and Kitgwang in Khartoum, Sudan.

The Spokeperson of the SPLM/A IO breakaway Faction led by 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual has defected to the SSPDF.

William Gatjiath Deng was accused of being the Mastermind of the breakaway of Kitgwang from the main stream that is led by FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny in August last year.

William Gatjiath voice recorded audios were shared on all social media platforms. According to the recorded audios Gatjiath was saying that he will stay long with Kitgwang if his demands are accepted by the Government.

He also said that 1st Lt. Gen. Simon Gatwech Dual is not competent person and he will be able to identify his backstabbing strategy that he was planning in Juba.

William Gatjiath Deng met Akol Akoor and Tut Kew Gatluak separately in Sudan Capital Khartoum.

William Gatjiath also received a promotion from Brigadier to Lt. General from the leadership of SPLM/A IO { The promotion is not confirmed yet}.

William Gatjiath Deng refused to comment to the wide spread of his defection from Kitgwang to SSPDF.

After few weeks of accident, President Salva Kiir finally met the children of late Gabriel Thor Koryom who passed away on Juba-Nimule roads accident along with his wives and some of his children.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit promise the children of the late Gabriel Thor to ask him whenever they need help, he assured them that whenever, any where anytime you need me just walk in the house of the President.

President promised those kids about $50,000 dollars but today he promised them something more than just money and that's his support to the children.

Breakthrough in State House | Governor agrees to Reinstall Hon. Kalisto Wani to the Mayorship of Juba City.

Today afternoon State House summoned Governor Adil to question him about the dismissal of the Juba City Mayor Molana Kalisto Wani.

Hon. Governor Adil has stressed out his concern saying that he would love Mayor's cooperation on most of the state and City project.

He said that he would love Mayor Kalisto Wani to consult him before he take any initiative because there's a genuine and a clear hierarchy chart in the state government.

Kalisto Wani have not been reached to comment on the ongoing development.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit summons Governor of Central Equatoria State to appear in State House Right Now.

According to [Unidentified] official at the Office of HE President Salva Kiir Mayardit has just told our reporter that President Salva Kiir Mayardit summoned Governor Adil to appear in State House regarding the dismissal of Mayor and the Netizens tumult.

The urgent request by President Salva came as the reactions keep growing fast from the Netizens against the removal of the former Mayor of Juba City Hon. Kalisto Wani.

He also added that State House suggest that Juba City Municipal should either be independent from State politic and it may led to the process of changing the Country Capital into an Independent Metropolitan like in most part of world.

He said that he has no further informations to what triggered Governor to remove Molana Kalisto Wani.

"Governor raised the concern last week in Governors forum saying that Mayor of Juba is working without my consent" Governor Adil said.

The meeting is currently happening in the State House and Mayor Kalisto Wani might be reinstalled today or tomorrow.

Governor of Central Equatoria State fired juba City Council Mayor

Kalisto Lado Faustino, Juba City Mayor has been relieved by the Central Equatoria State Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony through a Gubernatorial decree issued this evening.

No reasons were given for his relieve and no replacement has been made.

Members of Parliament asked to take English classes, public supports move

The Second Deputy Speaker for Administration and Finance at the Revitalised Transitional National Legislative Assembly has asked members of parliament to enroll for English Language courses to improve their proficiency.

Awerial Aluong while speaking at an event this past week said some of the parliamentarians are facing difficulties in participating in deliberations which are usually done in English as the “official language’ of business in the assembly.

While some members of the public are asking the parliament to use translation softwares, others say it is essential for members of the house to undertake intensive English courses.

“He has done well. Some of them are embarrassing themselves and the country,” said a commentator.

“The deputy speaker must be new in that parliament, the conduct of business allows any member to communicate in any language that they know better as long as they take permission from the speaker, then the speaker will ask for translation. It is not a law that they have to use English,” argues another.

“The fact that English is the official language in this country, the reason can be to enable members to have a medium of communication when sent on foreign missions,” another thought.
