Former Finance Minister Dr. Bak Barnaba Chol has reportedly been arrested in Nimule near the South Sudan - Uganda border.
Sources say he was intercepted while allegedly attempting to cross into Uganda, days after his removal from office.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that authorities recovered approximately $20,000 USD and an unspecified amount of South Sudanese Pounds.
Officials have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
